Help Mobile network/internet not turning on.

Same problem here in Sheffield.

Thought my phone was foobared!

Im happy :) but also sad :( that we are all experiencing this together and its not just moi.

When I try to access the internet now, it doesn't time out like it was doing.

Now brings up an error saying the server failed to communicate. Orange definately messed up.

Edit: Now working great!

Edit: And gone again!

It's them IDIOTS at Orange.

It's an absolute joke...thats 2 days now that I've had either no...or very intermittent mobile internet...its just not good enough....

No internet...no emails...no satnav...no nothing!...If they don't sort it out by tomorrow Im switching to another network and they can have my money.

no connection on my Hero here in Blackburn (Lancashire), although my colleague sat opposite has no problem on an Orange Blackberry.
Had problems since yesterday afternoon.

Had problems since yesterday afternoon.

Blackberry handsets don't connect through the normal network, they go through the blackberry servers so they are probably un-affected.

I left it trying to connect and now I have H/3G but data not flowing.

Although I do have this problem occasionally, I usualy get a good data signal where I am

Not working in Sawbridgeworth...usually get at least 3G and occasionally HSDPA.

But then I'm accustomed to my phone taking 30 minutes or longer sometimes to log on to the data network, so not too worried that I have no data after just a minute or so :)

Edit: think that was about 6 minutes to get a data connection.

T-mobile seems to be stalling since yesterday.

I wonder if they're trying to merge the data side? I know next month they'll enable roaming between the 2 networks if low signal.

No data whatsoever here in Greater Manchester day and night (19/08). Just constantly "mobile network turning on" on HTC Desire.

Orange midlands...no data for 2 days now!!

If its not back by midday today im switching networks - this is ABYSMAL on Oranges part, really REALLY poor show...and whats worse, they dont appear to be that bothered or in any rush to sort it.

Back on line in London, although I'm currently in a concrete bunker without any signal, so it could have dropped off again and I'd never know.

Recent Tweets from Orange say the problem was APN software and it's now been sorted.

For those customers still having data access problems, we've identified intermittent issues with certain APNs & are working on a fix ASAP about 16 hours ago via Echofon

Further to some data access problems witnessed on our network yesterday, we can confirm that normal service has been fully restored about 5 hours ago via Echofon

The outage was caused by an unusual software issue combined with a separate & localised hardware failure, both happening at the same time. about 5 hours ago via Echofon

...this affected a small number of APNs & meant that some, but not all of our mobile data customers had problems accessing mobile Internet. about 5 hours ago via Echofon

...we'll continue to monitor network performance closely, and would like to apologise once again for any inconvenience caused about 5 hours ago via Echofon

despite that last post it's still borked for me in London

EDIT - working, just takes an age to connect to the network. new to desire/mobile internet; is that normal?
