Root [MOD] LG Esteem 720p @ 30FPS (UPDATED 9/5/12)

hey martin, i got ur pm and replied but i just want to send this message out :D sorry man i dont want to kill your vibe, but this file does need to be fixed!! im glad you made the progress you made and for those of you who can get it working awesome for you!! lol

only issue/reason i have right now that im not putting it in my rom is because:

-it's somewhat un-stable, yes it works for some.. but it should work for all lol and it's should be flash-able in recovery, sadly it's not :(

not saying you can't flash it lol but im saying if you do than you get the same result/issue a lot of you are having..

also i tried actually placing into the rom and installing it in full, but still a no go :(

my MAIN thought of why this is happening is i think something was removed or edited incorrectly, my reason for saying this is only because:

the only confirmed way of getting this thing to work 'from what i've seen' is to manually push it over the original apk and etc.. (see op for instructions)

long story short, i think thats the only reason it did work was because the rom you were running had already had the original working version of apk, the when ading the new one in i think it somehow kept properties from original but added what was new from new one? maybe... lol or something like that, im not sure.. but either way we cant get this thing to flash properly so it will NEED to be looked over once more :D

again though proud of you man!! i remember you were working hard to get this going and your that much closer bro!! keep it up, this is where it gets difficult haha, ill help as much as i can

o the one thing for sure is i will take another look at it i have my friend trying to force the error on his phone as well my question is tho wat did u change lately from ur rom #2 v 1.8 to the ones from right now?... nd thanks bro nd i know this is the hard part but ill pm u when i have a fix for it bro;)

from 1.8 - 1.9

i added:
-spinner progress tweaks
-build.prop add's and take aways lol minor things though..
-added shiney's smooth scroll tweak
-updated hosts file (ad blocker)
-removed sysctl tweak
-removed adrenaline shot
-added back ics responsiveness tweak
-added lgapplicationwidgetpicker.apk
-ui updates etc...

should be about it.. lol
 
Tried everything I can think of. No go for me either... :confused:

hey guys we may have found the problem the camera mod worked for some of us cause we have this is wat he told me "I'd say since you're running the proper framework that i based the apk dependencies on with out issue, any1 else using a rom with a different or older framework will have an issue. Not too much we can do about that" but he recommends tht u guys use LG ZVD 2.7+ firmware.
 
idk if its the diefference but im using LD ZVD Speed kernal and mainly wat im trying to say is the framework some of u guys might have is not the same as the one he has for the camera

this isnt making sense...do you mean the framework? not being very clear here man
 
I think he's trying to say they used Ld lg zvd framework to decompile and recompile the apk so if you flash this on rom#2 it won't work cuz its different framework I'm not really sure;)

ahhh...that does make sense...maybe ill try to decompile it and them recompile it with the framework im using...might work.

just tried it...now the camera wont even show up in my app drawer lol :(

The simplest questions always make the most sense. ;)

If that is the case at least. I don't see it making a difference but I also don't know what went into missing this either. ????

Then again I'll have to post up some video from my phone camera cause it looks just fine to me. Def. Not no 15 fps.
 
Seems to be working! It records. Won't know the fps till i move a clip to the comp. Thanks for this! Now it records as fast as the LG Connect, hehe.

Just fyi, im on the broken out rom, replaced cameraapp.apk, rebooted, no problems.
 
I get the can't get frame problem as well. ZVD Broken out, had the Speed kernel, switched to blitzkrieg to see if it was any different. Same problem. Tried wiping cache and dalvik.
 
Tried this 2 days ago and got the error but didn't try to fix it because I had just got outbof work and was too tired.. today I decided to try to see I'd I still got the error and was surprised to see that it was working!! But then I decided to create a shortcut on the main screen and when I tried recording I got the error again. Could that be the problem?
