Root [MOD] Overclocking Micromax A75 / MT6573.

I found a way to Overclock MT6573/Micromax A75 :D by searching on Google ;)

I am not sure about the frequency. Overclocked values will not be displayed in any application. We may conform this by making benchmark test before and after Overclocking.

I don't know weather this is called as overclocking or performance improvement. ;)

Just follow the Simple Steps.

Before doing this Make a benchmark test using AnTuTu Benchmark or Quadrant and note down the Result.

-First enter into engineering mode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*
-Now you will get a Screen with title "EngineeringMode".
-Press on "De-Sense"
-Now goto "PLLS" >>"APMCU_PLL"
Set the value to "79" (Default is 75)
-Hit back button>>goto "MDMCU_PLL"
Set the value of MDMCU_PLL to "79" (Default is 66)
Hit the Home Button ( Don't Reboot your phone)

Now your Handset is Temporarily Overclocked to Some Unknown Frequency (May be Maximum). (You cannot check the Overclocked frequency )

Make Benchmark test again and compare the Results

Everytime you restart you phone, you have to do these steps again to Overclock. (Because the values of APMCU_PLL & MDMCU_PLL will be set to its Default when you restart your phone)

Imp: Do it at you own risk. Please don't change any other values other than this.

Hi !
Good job, :)

Just , I had a suggestion ..

For those ppl who live Graphical User Interface ,
Use Uncle tools ... to go for engineering tools ;)

Sorry but i cannot upload a APK and/or give links. i had a talk with the staff here ;)

Uncle tools ....
It is famous :D

Now lets get to the explanation to this :
If u guys are unaware,
PLL =>Phase locked loop ...

I never knew there is such option in the A75 !! and seriously do not know if this may increase the freqs ...
But i know a bit abt the PLL . Not too much though ;)

We had done some amazing stuff for Science exebition in School ... we presented the "Electronic Oscillator " ;)

here is the link: PLL - Wikipedia ...

Hey Great find Rudra :)
Hope u guys explore ur device more and more :)

The temporary OC is very nice. But i think that A75 has some files missing in sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0

I CANT SET THE VALUE I SET 79 AND CLICK SET NOT ACCEPTED GO BACK AND RETURN THE OLD VALUE IS EXIST , I AM USING UB-A75-1_v2, WITH MOBILE UNCLE .

Ninad how to move system applications like google map ,google play, street view, updates to rom any manual moving solution plz

I CANT SET THE VALUE I SET 79 AND CLICK SET NOT ACCEPTED GO BACK AND RETURN THE OLD VALUE IS EXIST , I AM USING UB-A75-1_v2, WITH MOBILE UNCLE .

After setting value, hit back button twice (I mean goto De-Sense menu) and again get back to PPLS>> and check the values of APMCU_PLL & MDMCU_PLL are now shown as '79' :D

As per some source the highest value is '79'. If we try to set more than 79 the value will be changed to '0'

has anyone try this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.tsorn.MTKControlTest
I have try the 'MTK-control test' app, and test it using antutu benchmark, I got improvement score before and after overclock, at before the score is only 1853, and after the cpu set to max 806 Mhz, the score increase to 2248.
but maybe I think the way work of this app is same with the cpu test in engineering mode, this app can not lock the cpu frequency to keep at 806 mhz after the phone restarted

@siguetea Thanks for sharing the app. This app is also doing the same (changing the values of APMCU_PLL) :) .
I recommend everyone to use this app to overclock, instead of going engineering mode. :)

Now I got the exact frequency = 728MHz (by using the Engineering mode and changing the value of APMCU_PLL to '79')
To overclock more than 728, MTK-test is setting the APMCU values as 7a, 7b,...7f(806MHz) and this app is not changing any MDMCU values.

I think this app is put on PlayStore just yesterday (2nd April).

now this application updated rs 66 , i am using now working nice but every reboot asking internet access for account verification , paid version
