Is there any way to make an app that will change the name on the phone from Verizon Wireless to something else?
Steven gazes intently at Scary, then runs. :p

Yeah, but I want to stay on stock. I enter my name in Verizon Wireless. My full name happens to have the same of letters as Verizon Wireless! :)

Steven were you able to change the name while stock. I'm like you I like the stock look and performance.

Don't install it guys. Every app I have force closed. As a matter of fact I had to battery pull to gt to CWM.

Edit #2 Crap I tried to restore my .596 backup and that does nothing bit flash force close ntil I pull the battery. On top of that my battery has gone from80 to 50 in about 5 minutes. Trying to flash .596 deodexed right now.
 
Too late. I did and it's fc'ing all apps. Gotta bouchigo deodex. Of course, my 15 minutes are up and I can't get a refund. Nice.
 
Yep. I reflashed .596 deodex and that brought me back. You know it was only $1.50 and I gladly donate muxh more on a consistent basis because I know these guys work hard and give us great pleasure but it looks like someone as accomplished as JRummy he would be more careful with apps.
 
Worked for me without issue. Maybe try to get in contact with Jrummy and see why it is causing issue. He is advertising it in the market as a great new feature but with fc's issues that needs to be changed.
 
Prolly cause I already framework mods from airmaxx and bochigo.
 
It worked fine after I applied the deodexer. Sigh.. I'm wondering if I can still get crt and 270 with the text edited. I'll play with it.

I would test it for you, as I may have an idea as to why it's not working with the mods.

But, I'm not going to purchase the app just to test :p

What mod are you using it with Steven, can you link it?

Steven I also use the three mods from Bouchigo so my framwork is affected. Since you installed the pull down text editor successfully now have you tried to install Bo's mods on top of that?

nnnope.

Bo said that it's a coding issue with jrummy's work. I heard back from him on Twitter. He told me he'll be looking into this week, because he's updating Root Tools.
 
Steven have you noticed a drop in battery life since the attempted install? Mine has gone to crap. I'm doing a factory reset to see if that helps

Edit: Hope you had better success than me. Decided to do a factory reset and got a big old bootloop. Pulled battery and went to CWM and flashed my .596 backup. It acted just like after I tried JRummy's text editor, continunal f/c and this backup was made long before I did the text editor. Anyway, I reflashed Bochingo's .596 deodex and it started me over so I basically have spent my day rebuilding my phone. All because I thought it would look nice with my name at the top. Geezzzz!
 
To be expected when you messing with framework mods. If you go back into cwm rec., flash bouchigo's deodexer and you'll get back to stable. Let me know if you need more help.

Steven can you post a screenshot of what it looks like when you change the text...if its working that is. Thanks
 
It doesn't work. I'm waiting for jrummy to possibly fix his app.
