More OV storage space without break or root

and can you sort of give me some for dummy directions?

though I know allot Id like a step by step so not screw up, first android phone and just want more space without break or rooting it.

Get "Apps 2 SD" and move as many apps as you can to the SD card.

Before I rooted I had to keep an eye on Google Maps, as its updates took up a lot of space. Go into Manage Applications and uninstall Google Maps updates periodically. Do the same for Market.

History Eraser is a good app that will quickly clear caches and free up space.
 
tried that app mover, it doesn't do anything really.
all the apps that are moveable, I don't need a program to move them, button in the program settings is already there to move them to SD.

Wasn't phone storage I needed, I want more data storage for downloads, movies and such. I don't need a bunch of apps.
 
Movies and music take up a lot of space... way more than any apps will. You can buy a bigger microSD card and load that without rooting.

Buy a bigger uSD, go with a name brand from a reliable source. I use NewEgg or Amazon (not Amazon Marketplace) or Costco. You can plug your mobile into your computer via USB and copy everything to the hard drive and then move it to the new card.
 
Hey MacFett. Do you think it's better if the OP puts the uSD card in the phone while there's nothing on it? Let the phone put the appropriate folders on the uSD card, then move everything into it?
 
Ok so it is that simple as getting a new uSD card, ive seen allot of class talk, which class is better, higher or lower number of class?

seen talk about class 4 and class 10 cards
 
I just got this one a couple days ago for $6.99. Team 8GB Micro SDHC Class 4
Works well. SD Tools says Write Speed: 10 to 14 MB/s, Read Speed: 38 to 40 MB/s. In reality I get about 4.5 MB/s copying from computer to phone. I think it will take me a long time to fill 8 gig. (7.39 formatted)

Thanks, I'll check that. I've seen the link but I thought it would be the same. It has to be easier to read than the ant sized letters in the written one.
