Root Motorola Boot animation question

I would like to have the old stock boot animation (without the virgin Mobile part) is there one that will work on MTDEV CM7 rom?

Yeah, You can take the bootanimation.zip and move it to either /system/media or somewhere under /data. I think it's /data/local, not sure though. For bootsounds, for some reason I haven't been able to build it in. I think I might play with that tonight.

Yep- easy to do, I liked the boot animation from FroyoCream Sandwich, so I just copied it into the right folder in g60-Style CM7 and- voila! Course then I disabled it after I realized it 1) sucked more battery needlessly on boot & 2) made for a longer boot. I mean, seriously, how often are you going to reboot & it's like you're going to say to someone next to you, "hey, look at my cool boot screen". After you've seen it for the hundredth time yourself, the novelty wears off, or at least it did for me. ;)

But, easy to do!

On testing days? Like ten times.

[Edit]well im stumped lol i tried to move it but cant seem to do it. seems im doing something wrong.
 
What are you using?
Root access enabled?
Rename, or move the old one?
That's all I can think of right now
Kind of guessing here without some details as to what's happening.
 
No, it was named correctly.
I *may* have put triumph_ at the beginning so I could tell it from all the others I have, but I don't think so.
