Agreed. On a similar note P3Droid just said on IRC that with the new .32 kernel on froyo he is getting linpack scores of 9.878 at 550mhz. With the .29 kernel on 2.1 he is getting 3.795 at 550mhz. Froyo FTW!
I mean, that's a great score, but it seems that Android just likes snapdragon more. A stock N1 can put up like 37Mflops on Linpack w/ 2.2
I'm pretty sure it's because the OMAP kernel is backwards compatible all the way down to the original OMAP. We have OMAP3's! We need a better optimized kernel specifically for our more powerful processor
