That one has the performance app with it. The screen doesn't blink out because the disable hw overlays is set. I'm not sure where in the filesystem that is. But all you have to do is disable hw overlays. The google drive one is a clean build. Just built this morning from VM03's manifest.

Are you running w5ds on w5 or are you editing w5ds source to work as w5
I am extremely confused. Also, if you don't currently have source posted, please post source, either github or zipped up if it is edited from what is currently on github.

Hey, I am new to this device, I cannot get it rooted. Not even towellroot works. I have tried a lot of root methods. Can someone help me get rooted? Info:
Android 4.4.2 stock
Baseband M8610B-AAAANAZM-1.0.6038
Kernel 3.4.0+

Towellroot just says phone not supported

You're on firmware c, c can't be rooted right now, so you're going to have to flash an a/b firmware kdz to root with towel root, you can find in the unbrick guide

Chevanlol360 told me that right now his tree is synced to w5ds tree by VM03 and all modified to w5 funtionality.
In other words, there are a few more things than just that. But yea that will work, just not as good
I would like to suggest to just build w5 source from Chevan rather than editing w5ds to work as w5. But if VM03 is ahead of Chevan, go right ahead and build w5ds and edit to work as w5.

Has the menu button been fixed yet for ms323? This is my only issue with this rom.

Ok.... So i got it rooted. Installed fastboot. Now when i type fastboot devices it just stays blank. And when i type fastboot oem unlock it gets stuck at waiting for device. What is wrong? installed this build last night, pretty good other then back camera, menu button, and external sd, but pretty stable.
this morning i encrypted data and it got stuck in a boot loop so i tried a factory reset in philz recovery but it cant mount data now, any help?
Edit: TWRP and CWM cant mount data either and typing "fastboot erase userdata" doesnt help
Edit2: got it to mount/wipe, had to wipe data and data/media

Don't encrypt data, that has screwed up for me so many times. Even with stable CM builds, just don't.

But yes @MikeHoncho is right, we would prefer you to post a new thread, or post in a thread related to rooting/unlocking the device.
