We need some beta testers for the following (2) ROMS. These ROM's are all work of Chairshot, and to put it simply he has busted his HUMP on these ROMS. He has been working on taking libs from all our sister phones (Cherry, WellcoM, & Sharp) and figuring our which libs work best with our device.

The key to all his hard work is we can carry these libs into CM9 and CM10 which will help all future builds from this point forward to run faster, and more smooth. It is also possible that these will have the same positive effect on any ROM be it MIUI or any other ROM variant for the Triumph.

If you would like to help out please download each ROM and test all functionality and copy and paste the following BETA TEST SCORE CARD below in a new post. In your test please install as many apps as you normally use and also lots of games to test the video performance. There is not a time limit on this. The more tests the better understanding we will have. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

If I got time after work ill deff load one of these up, quick question tho, what's the difference between 1 & 2, like major difference or minor
 
I think I said in the Starship Experiment thread that the ROM indeed feels smoother.
The camera seemed better, the entire experience felt better and stable. I've been running it for 2 days now, the only issue I found is video flicker.
GPS lock is not the best (again, trying to stop myself from comparing it to Sharp ROM), but it's very stable and usually locks under 20 seconds.

What is the differences between test1 and test2 ?
I will download first one and report tomorrow. I usually let it run for the 24 hours before reporting.

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Smooth as always. Since Starship Exp (and moving all the libs) I noticed that the ROM feels very smooth (you know how people say Sharp is very smooth - this is the case!). Scrolling feels better, more responsive to touches, overall is very pleasant to surf. I never had complained about MMS os SMS as long as it's working. The biggest issues for me is video flickers and frame freezes and it is still there. WiFi - I don't bother with extra 5 seconds waiting, although sometimes you want it fast. GPS - don't have any major problems, like not seeing any satellites (like in CM9), gps status shows 4 to 5 satellites, locking takes about 8-9, takes from 30 seconds to 1 minute. Being a Pepsi fan myself, I would grade this rom a good solid diet Coke. :)

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Worse than Test 1
Seems like Test 1 is better. The goal of this test was to determine if moving some of the libs makes the ROM better and I must say it does. I feel everything is better comparing to CM7 previous builds: smother, faster, better.

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Seemed smooth to me. I did notice that while playing Drag Racing, the touch screen became unresponsive and making me miss a shift and a race. Not sure why. As for the phone functions, it worked flawlessly. Camera worked with no issues (front and rear). I give the ROM an overall grade of 7

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: So far, after just a short amount of testing, I notice that while using the default music player and receiving a text the music would just get turned down while the notification played and then promptly faded back up to normal volume. This might be a fix to the notification issue.

Both ROM's behave the same way in regards to GPS. Using WiFi I can get a lock in about 15 seconds and accurate to within 60 meters. Using 3G, in the same spot, the lock speed went into the toilet as well as the accuracy (4-6 blocks). 3G on both ROM's would keep switching from 3G to 2G and back, this made it difficult to do actual speed tests. I have not seen this using MIUI 2.4.20 v3 or CM9 from the same location.

I am using the suggested scale for rating and I consider 5 to be average.
 
It's times like these I wish I had a beater Triumph to test on- I just depend too much on a fully working phone. :(

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: 9/10/12 - (2) Hard lock reboots on Temple Run. GPS locks are solid outdoors about 10-15 seconds. Inside a brick house agps locked with in 1700 feet but couldn't lock on to me at all. Video is solid but still laggy using card stock on Holo Launcher in app drawer (not sure if this is us, or app). Camera hard locked up after switching to front video from rear. After reboot I then recorded video and its totally messed up and recording side ways. I rebooted a 3rd time and it's recording OK. Also noticed with recording front and rear that if you have the headset plugged in there is no mic access. I don't recall that being an issue in previous builds. Wifi has been flawless all day! Normally when you turn it on it glitches while it's scanning when you are in wifi settings. However I have not had the glitch yet. Also overall speed has been incredible no cpu adjustments have been made. This has to be the fastest CM7 ROM I have used, everything is just very reactive. I have not spent a lot of time on the 3G however it seemed to load the maps very quickly when I was doing GPS test in the afternoon for lunch. Since I work in a old concrete steel building it's impossible to test all day as I get no service or very limited 1x. I will be testing 3g on the way home as I normally stream pandora. 9/11/12 - Battery life is great I left on my bluetooth last night with a 60% charge, however the bluetooth stayed connected to the car all night and I had 24% this morning. Even with an opps I didn't pay the price. Moving on to ROM 2

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: 9/11/12 - Wifi connects but is jumpy like before while in settings. Also took longer to connect to wireless at the office. Video is more lagged out, and not as responsive in Holo Launcher app drawer. Nenmark2 gave me 11.2FPS for both test1 and test2 but I can see the lag in test2. Due to video issues this ROM is not very solid IMHO and I will be rolling back to CM9.

This rom had only one random reboot in the 24 hours I tested it while the previous rom had upwards of 4 or 5 a day. Also settings are actually sticking now and don't require a restart. Speed gets a little
buggy here and there but nothing I can't live with. 3g was very good for my area and even with a low signal managed to get good speeds. Wifi was improved but I can't tell if it's my local wifi limiting it now or the rom so I left it at 7. Camera clicks slightly but I don't recall if stock clicked at all, it is much less noticeable than before.

This rom had some really good points to it, but after a while I started to get several random reboots and a few blank screens that needed a battery pull. Wifi was a little off too with it having trouble connecting 1 out of 10 times. Gps wifi and 3g lock was fantastic though , camera was pretty much the same and 3g seemed a little more spotty. Speed was alight at first but it has since slowed down, even with the same load-out as the previous rom.

9/10 - First GPS lock about 20 - 30 seconds. On par with the 8/19 build. I could see no noticeable difference between the two.
9/10 - I got the blank screen/freeze after phone call when the other party ended call first. Blank screen for maybe 20 seconds, then all was fine. It didn't require a battery pull or anything. I did not notice this issue with the 8/19 build, but noticed it in earlier builds. Sometimes requiring battery pull.
9/10 - Just had my phone ramdomly turn itself off completely. Required a battery pull to restart. That's a weird one...
9/11 - Left phone and wifi on and unplugged all night while I slept. Almost no battery drain :) Good Job!
9/11 - Overall very solid rom. Wifi seemed a little slow to connect and GPS could be a little faster, at least in my opinion. Blank screen when call hangs up error is present. I had the other weird shutdown, but don't know if that was just random. Has not happened again.

I will continue running this through tomorrow. I'll report back any new findings. Good job, though!
 
ima play around on the first one ill report back when im ready for the second

ok so far so good on the first i havent had any problems but a black screen after a call i got but came back on soon after everything seems very responcive enough that its a noticable difference wifi and 3g turned on and off no problems or very long delays like i have been having with the 8/19 build batery life seems normal i been texting and had two short calls and im sitting at 76% w wifi and data off ima turn them back on and see if its dead by morning like usual lol but ill play a little more tomorrow take some pics and videos run a few benchmark apps and play a few games i have but all and all very fast and stable so far
 
Ok, I'm game. Will not be able to test anything that requires access to service though. Will try Rom 1 first. Everything seemed pretty solid to me. This is actually my cm7 of coice
 
I'll test again soon. Busy with school now. Will test again ASAP. More than likely tonight. But this looks like it will take forever. And I need my phone. Still, if I cannot join you guys in testing, good luck!

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Probably the smoothest and fastest version I've seen of CM7 to date. Apps seem to load very quickly, even on cold starts. WiFi seems to connect fairly fast, but there is a 10-ish second delay until the icon shows up. SMS and MMS are the same they've been since the last build of CM7, so I just put 10. Camera was great for me, focused quickly and took an overall good few shots. 3g was also as good as it's ever been for me, and as for GPS,

ROM:Test 2-Got too curious, flashed this a few hours after testing Rom 1.

Your personal thoughts of the ROM:I was pretty surprised by the difference I found in the two roms. Rom #2 destroyed #1 in wifi, because I was able to connect in about 15 secs, when it took maybe a minute for rom #1. This could have just been my router, though so disregard that. The most impressive was a gps lock within 15 seconds on Google Maps, which I've never seen before. Overall rom #2 was definitely the winner. The only reason I'm not testing battery life is because I use CM9 to last me through the day, because it has such amazing battery life :D.
 
I'm quite a crazy flasher myself, I'll root my phone now, and make sure to keep note throughout the day tomorrow. I'm so mad my 2 x 2,000 mAH batteries haven't arrived. >:O

Briefly rooted to Test 1 and decided to change to Test 2 because I have a feeling Test 2 is the better one.

ROM:Test 2
3G: 10 - Very fast. Did a download from Google Play Store.
Camera: 3 - FC and Fixing Permissions seemed to fix it.
GPS Locks: 10 - Quick, and precise.
Wifi: 5 ---
3 seconds to disable
Enabled Wifi from Wifi Settings and got an error:
"Sorry! Application Settings (in process com.android.settings) is not responding."
Outside of Wifi Settings, it took about 6 seconds to enable.
Scanned and connected very quickly.

MMS: N/A
SMS: 10 - Seems to send faster...
Speed: 10 - Faster and smoother, took a little bit longer for apps to load.
Battery Life: 0 - Loses battery at what seems to be the same speed.
Video Performance: N/A
Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Eh.
 
Going to do this as well. Flashing ROM 2 right now, everyone else is trying ROM 1 and I wanna be different, hehe. My plan is to go through my normal day with each ROM. I'll be back to update ROM 2 results tomorrow and ROM 1 the next day.

Also can someone answer me if the 3g fix is still applicable to these ROMs?

ROM: Test 1
3G: 10. No different from ROM 2. Slightly better than average speeds. (60690 PRL)
Camera: 10. No problems with camera at all, works fine just like ROM 2
GPS Locks: 5. Slightly better than ROM 2, however still a few hundred feet off.
Wifi: 10. Standard wifi experience. No FC's in wifi settings!
MMS: 10. Works like normal (60690 PRL)
SMS: 10. Nothing out of the ordinary here. (60690 PRL)
 Speed: 10. Extremely smooth! Overclocked to 1401MHz and underclocked to 122MHz running the ondemand governor. Extremely smooth ROM, extremely impressed. Great job MTDEV.
Battery Life: 10. MUCH BETTER THAN ROM 2! Came home with 80% battery left (8AM-3PM) compared to 35% with ROM 2. This ROM will definitely be my new daily driver.
Video Performance: 8. Everything worked fine but damn you screen flicker! Also I noticed that along the bottom of whatever video you are watching there is a small line of distortion when viewing in landscape. I seem to remember seeing this in other gingerbread ROMs as well though.
Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Overall extremely impressive ROM. That screen flicker has always bugged me but other than that an overall great experience. Extremely smooth and responsive. Capacitive buttons light up very faintly and no vibration!

9/12 ROM 1: Something weird happened. I had 28% battery, took a picture with the camera and it reported 0% battery and shut down. Then I rebooted and It reported 0% again and shut down. Started up a 3rd time and now at 27%. Going to try to replicate it and get a logcat. Seems like it happens when I use flash. Still trying to get a logcat. Also torch doesn't cause this issue so I believe its related to the camera. It seems to happen after taking multiple pictures in a row using flash

ROM: Test 2
3G: 10. Slightly better than my average 3g speeds, but you know how up and down VM's network is. I got 1300kpbs down at one point but then a few minutes later I got 78kpbs. However Average I would say 600kpbs. This varied throughout the day as well. It should be noted I am using the 60690 PRL.
Camera: 10. Took a few pictures throughout the day. Mainly of notes and such I needed for class and the camera worked great. Standard camera experience, no problems. I also tested FFC and there was no problems.
GPS Locks: 3. It was about a mile or so off, maybe a little less. However after having it enabled for a few minutes my 3g switched to 1x even though I had good 3g reception. When I turned it off again 3g came back.
Wifi: 7. I have to use an app called wifi fixer to keep my connection to my crappy router so my wifi tests might be irrelevant. Either way wifi worked fine, however it does drain the battery quite a lot.
MMS: 10. Nothing wrong here everything works as it should
SMS: 10. No problems with SMS
 Speed: 10. VERY SMOOTH. I am overclocked to 1401MHz and underclocked to 122MHz with the interactive governor. Definitely one of the smoothest ROMs I have ever flashed.
Battery Life: 5. Battery life was quite poor compared to MIUI. With MIUI I could get through school(8am-3pm) with standard use and have 85% battery left or more. With this ROM by the end of the day I had about 35%.
Video Performance: 8. Standard video experience. Tried over both 3g and Wi-Fi and everything was as it should. Of course the video flicker in portrait still exists which is why I gave it an 8. Also noticed a small line of distortion at the bottom of videos played in landscape however I think I've seen this in most gingerbread ROMs on the triumph
Your personal thoughts of the ROM: Very smooth ROM. Everything worked great, I would make it my daily driver if it weren't for the battery life. One thing I noticed is that settings didn't seem to stick all the time. I had to select the settings I wanted and then reboot at times. I didn't do any heavy gaming, but angry birds and mega jump worked fine. Music playback also worked fine. I only ran into FC's twice. Once for the first time connecting to my Wi-Fi and the second was randomly when I was browsing the Play Store.

9/10: ROM 2 Ok, I first flashed it and I don't seem to have a lockscreen and my capacitive buttons don't light up or vibrate. I made sure to wipe everything and reflashed and rebooted but no dice.

9/10 ROM 2: Lockscreen suddenly has appeared. My capacitive buttons light up too although slightly more faint than normal. Still no vibration from my capacitive buttons.

Your personal thoughts of the ROM: the ROM has almost always been smooth. This version is proving to be very well refined. I wish I had a good, scientific, way to test a ROM. I read somewhere that the sign of good software is it makea complex seem simple. I think we can add to that with "and makes it feel effortless"

ok so far so good on the first i havent had any problems but a black screen after a call i got but came back on soon after everything seems very responcive enough that its a noticable difference wifi and 3g turned on and off no problems or very long delays like i have been having with the 8/19 build batery life seems normal i been texting and had two short calls and im sitting at 76% w wifi and data off ima turn them back on and see if its dead by morning like usual lol but ill play a little more tomorrow take some pics and videos run a few benchmark apps and play a few games i have but all and all very fast and stable so far

38% thismorning which is better than i have had in a while my phone is almost always dead when i get up if i leave wifi and 3g on i might just end up using this rom as my daily if i i dont get any problems today with the camera but i will still try number 2 compare them and post my thoughts soon

I tried test 1 and boy was it fast!

3G: (10, its fast)
Camera: (10, no problems and pictures look great)
GPS Locks: (Inside my house it gets a 0, i havent been able to get one gps lock, ill test outside soon and update this)
Wifi: (10,connects fast and not as much fc's as previous build)
MMS: (Havent tested)
SMS: (10,no problems)
Speed: (12,its MUCH faster, apps load up quicker, much smoother)
Battery Life: (10,battery life seems better, but it lasts a longer time than before)
Video Performance: (7, its fast and sound and video sync perfectly, but it does flicker and the sound is kinda low, even on middle volume)
Your personal thoughts of the ROM: its very fast and speedy, the only thing i think could be improved is the volume(its kinda on the low side), lockscreen isnt that good, and video performance, but otherwise its very fast and smooth
