Root Multi-Touch works on all ROMs (Includes Maps & Browser fix!)

Crap...doesn't work for me. I've been resisting pay for any apps in the market but I might have to get Root Explorer afterall :(

When you buy apps, you can easily download them again from the market at no extra cost, as long as you register your phone to the same Gmail account

Just go to the market after you have registered your phone to your Gmail account, then go to the downloads section, all your paid apps will be there, ready for you to download at no extra cost :)

will do - only option is credit card though, which is a shame, but it's time i think!
Anyway, surely the "flashtool" is capable of making these multitouch changes? seems like it does everything else!!!!
thanks for the reassurance regarding purchased apps tho, puts my mind at ease!

Ye I have to use my credit card to buy my apps, it's a shame it cannot be added to the phone bill (or taken from PAYT credit), like Nokia's OVI, would be much easier and quicker

root explorer is a must have.
unfortunately i dont have a credit card and since google checkout offers no other options i had to 'find' my copy.

Try Applanet, it isn't available on the market, but you can download it on your computer and transfer it. Google it as I don't know if it is a legal app or not, so I will not be able to provide the link, to avoid any risks of getting banned

It allows you to download many paid apps for free (including root explorer) :)

i have applanet but their server has been troublesome, i managed to log in once a few nights ago, i think that it was only up for an hour before going down again lol
and yeah pretty sure its illegal since most apps are cracked on it.

Me too. It was offline for weeks. Came on the other night for just less than a day, then went off again.

I installed multi-touch, and I can honestly say, I could have lived without it forever lol, it's useless to me

Not really worth it IMO. Works only a 1/4 of the time, mine only seems to zoom in, and not out and not all that often. Not at all the way my wife's Iphone works, thats for sure.

Ha ha..yeah I may never use it but it's just cool to mod the phone :)

To me it's amazing that the community has stepped up like this and done so much work for these phones. Kudo's to all of you that contribute. If I get the time I am seriously getting interesting in producing ROM's.... I have the IT background...just need the time right now but with a new puppy and baby on the way..that seems like a pipe dream :)

I'd like to do my part though.

I am very interested in Android Development, and have found courses for this (lol), but with the new baby I don't have time lol

Maybe sometime soon you will be downloading apps/ROMs created by me lol (we can all dream hehe)

I have very good experience in web development, but I hear Android development is a completely different story lol

What does the"mod" do and why do we want to do it? My pinch zoom doesnt work at all like the vid.

It just allows multi-touch in all apps such as maps and browser that didn't work with multi-touch before it is applied.

You just seem to unluckily have a problem with yours. Maybe a re-flash will solve the problem

did you actually read his post and link?

Yeah I did read that, I guess I didnt realize there was a way to install it where it didnt work for some apps.

As far as the kernal flash, should it read a different # in the "about" section? mine still says the same kernal #

na the kernal number stays the same because you are not replacing it just adding a modification.
i assume the official release will change the number
