Multimedia charging dock

$60?!?!? Wtf why? I really want this but thats outrageous. I guess ill have to hold out and see what HTCpedia cooks up...
 
So I'm guessing there is no HDMI out ??
or am I missing something , you would think if it had it that it would be a selling point. Without somesort of video out I don't think it's worth $45 with discount let alone $60
 
I ordered one as well. It's out of stock when I call *611, so not too hopefull. I paid fifty minus discount for the Droid X dock and never used the hdmi out...
 
I highly suspect this dock will not have HDMI because I suspect the phone is not designed to output direct play video/audio via the micro USB port.

If the phone were capable of HDMI output, I would imagine there would be a micro USB to HDMI adapter attachment we could buy. If the dock could make the conversion, would this not make sense that such an adapter would accomplish the same goal sans dock?

Of course, I could be completely wrong. I was raised "know what you don't know" and "Teach thy Tongue to say 'I do not know' and thou shall progress". So, I really do not know (but I can make a reasonable guess). :)

But, while I want an extra batt and the dock seems to charge a separate batt it would come in handy - $100 for the dock and a spare batt is pretty flippin steep.
 
Ordered one online a few days ago and got an email from VZW yesterday saying it was backordered with no estimate at this time. Oh well...the waiting game continues.
 
Well I wanted one and bought a generic one in the mean time. However I ended up buying this complex case that is 3 pieces and I have come to the conclusion that it would be a huge pain each day to take off the case and put it back on each day. So I am now looking on eBay and amazon for just a wood or plastic stand to set the phone on each night while I charge it with the cord. I have seen a few nice wood holders and even a gel one here under the store and I think that is the direction I will go. I use the generic desk charger now to charge my extra battery. If I find out that the Verizon dock switches the phone into landscape mode while docked I might change my mind but I doubt it. I think they screwed up by not having this available at the time the phone came out when everyone is excited and want to buy all the goodies at once.

But at least they have a dock for our ThunderBolt, unlike the fabled Incredible dock :mad:

I'll believe it when I see it. Might just be a render, who knows at this point. I use the kick stand every day so I'm not sure I even need it?...
 
Hi - Are there any integrated speaker/charging stations that can be used w/the Thunderbolt, such as the Iphone has? Would love to easily be able to plug this into a system where I get decent music and the device is charged. Thanks!
