Help Music controls on lock screen

What you want is Widgetlocker, as mentioned earlier. I wouldn't be without it, so like PowerAMP its well worth having.

I downloaded WinAmp last night after seeing this thread and had a play about with it. So far I'm really liking it and it's a joy to be able to control the app whilst it's locked!

I do agree with @tikigod19 that being able to double tap the home button like i used to on my iPhone to bring up the music controls even with the app never having been opened before would be nice, but it's not that much time or hassle to unlock and go into the WinAmp app itself to get the ball rolling and then using the lock screen functionality to control from there.

Hmmn, tried another solution but no dice - Power Strip lets you double click the home button to bring up Widgets etc, however that function is taken up by the Voice Talk thingy. I froze that with Titanium Backup, but double click still doesn't work to bring up Power Strip. Probably the custom ROMS that disable the Voice Talk double-click home to open will work with Power Strip to do what the OP wants.

You have to turn off the security and the it'll take you straight into the app you choose.

So If i want to make use of WL's ability to access stuff from lock screen I have to turn security off? Does this not mean I compromise the security of the phone - I had hoped WL would allow me to access only certain apps i put on the whole screen while still requiring password to access other apps like my email or contacts list..

I tried winamp and did not like it so went back and tried out poweramp, prefer it to be honest and will pay up once the trial is over. This allows a lock screen widget and a normal homescreen widget which can be sized really well. Amazingly I also found that by turning on the album art finder it has correctly sorted some albums I have which are bought from itunes and are in aac format - I wasn't aware it did this....

so as there is no demo could I just clarify what this does. Could I have a permanent audio control widget but still have the slide the picture off of the screen or swipe the passcode to unlock?

Does anyone know of anyway to control the music from the lock screen like you can on the iphone? I really miss being able to skip, pause etc without unlocking the phone.
