Best music program I've seen is Tunein Radio. Great music app, crystal clear, pick your own genre, and listen to stations nation-wide. Listened to LA, Boston, and Dallas this morning. Amazing! (and that's my 2 cents worth) Also like Parcels for tracking packages.

I'll highlight a few I've downloaded recently:

Custom Car Home: I recently ordered and received a Seidio Innotraveler car dock for my EVO so I was looking for a car home replacement. CCH is perfect for me, all I needed was something clean with in-your-face icons and this delivers. No fuss.

File Expert: I discovered this through necessity. The kernel I'm using for my ROM doesn't allow file transfer through USB and I didn't feel like using ADB everytime so I looked for a solution. This app is a file manager much like WiFi File Explorer except this is free for all the features. I find transferring files OTA fairly fast and there's support for both HTTP and FTP. There's also a SMB feature which I haven't used.

If y'all haven't experienced the AMAZINGNESS of Touch Calendar, y'all are a bunch of jive-ass turkeys.

I had some minor issues with Launcher Pro. So I tried ADW and it wasn't any better. So I tried Go Launcher. Although it has less themes, it runs noticeably faster. When I click on the Applications folder it has tabs for All, Recent and Running. You can kill apps that are running there if they are left open. I have more available memory after using that front end than with the other two. I'll sacrifice a few options for speed.

I can also tell by how fast the phone starts up which one drags the phone down more.

SIAP -

SwiFTP - no more plugging in to the computer. Now the Shift is a WiFi network resource for photo uploads and music downloads by drag and drop.

No more "preparing SD card" - slower than USB but for the convenience, who cares?

how do I set this up with windows 7?

How to Link (Map) an FTP Server or Directory in Windows 7

With SwiFTP, they'll tell you the ftp string to input - it's going to look something like:

ftp://192.168.0.9:2121

You won't need the share name, but if Windows insists, suggest you try:

ftp://192.168.0.9:2121/sdcard

That ought to do it.

Put it on my Evo, too.

BTW, FWIW and by your leave - I recently checked out the new EStrongs File Explorer - so far, I liking it WAY better than Astro, especially for LAN file browsing and the more flexible customizations.

Also - using their ES Security Manager for locking down a (hopefully never) lost phone.

Finally - Wheres My Droid - because I'm tired of calling WifelyMon's phone!!! ;)
