must have incredible apps

What's the app that you can install that takes your phone back to the home screen after hanging up a call?

My app list below.

My favorites are Clipper (great for copying and pasting), WiFi analyzer (work at Hospital with multiple WiFi sources), Battery Widget (like the % left), Movies, GMail Unread Count (this should be standard), Handcent SMS (should also be standard), Weatherbug (love the radar, especially with these T-storms), and Star Wars Sounds (what else for a Droid phone).

Phone: ADR6300
34 total, 34 free (100%), 0 paid (0%), 52MB total size, $0 total price

when you uninstall apps, does it fragment the storage device it was on?

meaning, after some time of installing/uninstalling is there something you should do to keep your incredible running in top shape?

Is there an app that will let you access music from your PC and stream it to your phone?

EDIT: Just found out Gmote does this. It will also do photos and videos, but not AVI. Does anyone know a better app or one that can do AVI videos?

so besides showing you the radar in your area, does it give you the current weather or the weather for the next few days?

I don't think it shows you the current weather in your area...just the radar. Have you tried the Weather Channel app. It's pretty cool. It gives you your local forcast as well as a radar loop.

Whats the best Remote Desktop App that resizes the desktop to fit your screen in portrait and lanscape? I also want full control over the computer. I am coming from the TP2 and really liked the Windows Remote Desktop app.

So far the only apps that I ahve actually installed and kept on my phone are :

Astro File Manager
Audio Manager
Bank of America
Barcode Scanner
BatteryTime Lite
Handcent SMS
Mini Info
Mint
Gmail Unread Count Widget

What's the big brew haha with Handcent SMS? Can someone please explain it to me who text messages a lot?

Also, any problems with it? I've read a lot of negative comments on the market about forced closes etc.

Thanks.

I was in the same boat, but I gave it a shot for the day and honestly havn't had any issues with it. One of the features that I really like is the ability to quick reply through a pop up. You can set it so that even when your phone is idle / locked, the pop up will come up and you can respond to the person without having to unlock your phone. Also it is very customizable which is pretty much what having an Android based phone should be all about. The bundled SMS application is very bare in comparison.

It really comes down to this, putting aside the 'pop up', it really comes down to giving you the ability to customize everything about your text messages. If you text a ton, and would like some more control, give it a shot.

Remember you have nothing to lose by trying apps for a day. Worst comes to worst, uninstall it.

Yeah, the popup feature of Handcent is really solid. If you have a lock screen, handcent can be set to turn the screen on when you get a text and show the message and allow you to reply without unlocking the phone. This is of course an option but the program has an option for everything... some a worded a bit oddly, but it's nice to have.

is there a way to rename the handcent widget so it says the word messages instead of the word handcent
