must have incredible apps

I'm surprised the Weather Channel app doesn't have radar. I do know that the Weatherbug app does. It's also my favorite b/c it provides extremely localized weather. :)

Weather Channel does have radar, and local video. I like it.

Hope someone comes up with an App to use my LEDs for flashlights though.

Wanted to add an Incredible app to the suggestions here: Qik Video Camera, it broadcasts live high quality video with audio to qik.com/username. It's so easy to setup and just... wow. Only thing is that it uploads the video to the site afterwards which is strange since the site is already receiving the stream. Anyway, I tried it and was blown away.

Those LEDs don't lilke to be lit up for long periods of time. I've heard of LEDs in other devices (moto DROID) burning out cause of such apps. Beware.

Really? LED's are only subject to "burn out" (which technically they cant burn out since they have no filament, they are diodes) if the current supplied is higher than the rated current for the led. Plus LED's have a life of up to 100K hours on average so I'm not too sure that these "flashlight" apps would really cause too much harm

is there a widget if you have a voicemail it displays like 1, 2, etc. Kind of like with mail & messages. I found one for missed calls (SMS Unread Count) but would like one for voicemail.

Any feedback on this question?

Just downloaded SMSBackup which is an AWESOME app if you ever need to backup your text messages. Sends them directly to your gmail account via IMAP and labels them with SMS

Thanks for the tip... Do you (or anyone) know of any app that can save your SMS's on your SD card? That way when/if you get a new phone, you can transfer them over with no problem vs. sending them to your Gmail and then emailing it right back... Grrrr...

Thanks in advance!

I know I saw an app on App Brain that does this..try searching over there for it..

Maybe it's been mentioned before, but must download: Beautiful Widgets

Looks way better than the HTC default clock and weather. There are TONS of skins you can download. Really happy with it.

I'm coming from a WinMo phone and am waiting for my Incredible to arrive by Fedex. On my old phone I had to use an app (ProContacts) to have a full screen photo of my incoming caller appear. Is anything like this built in to the Incredible? If not is there a similar app out there?

Documents to Go is still on sale and is a great app... a MUST have if you are going to be working with Office files. The lite edition, which is always free, lets you view the files, but if you want to edit or create them the full version is awesome. I am one seriously cheap cheap person... and probably would not have taken the bite for the regular price of $29 but for under $6 it is well worth it.

I am coming from a blackberry and was wondering if anyone knows of a good Audio Book, Podcast app?

I used to use Podtrapper on the storm and it was awesome. It did a great job of getting, organizing and playing podcasts, along with audio books. You could make playlists, and it also bookmarked, remembered where you left off in a podcast or audio book, so it was very easy to come back.

I tried a bunch when I converted over, and my favorite was/is Doggcatcher. Really good app and lots of creator support. It's either $7 or $8, but for me being on the road all day and being able to upload my podcasts this was so worth it. If you pay and don't like it, you can always get your money back within 24 hours too. That's why I took the chance. But after using it, I was more than happy to pay.

Droidlight LED for the Droid is written by Motorola. Do you think they would provide a flashlight application if it could damage their hardware? I don't think so.

I suggest everyone try out myTextSpeed. It's a fun little game to help improve your text speeds and accuracy.

Also, try out my custom sentence and report back to me. So far I have hit 9.993 seconds typing out:

The quick brown fox jumps over the massive canyon in a rocket car.

You have to enter that punctuation and all.
