This is really bizarre--and troubling.
A friend called me on my phone, and in the midst of the conversation, my EVO LTE just died. Not a dropped call, not a hangup, but a complete and immediate shut off. It didn't "power down." I was over 80% charge, so it wasn't a battery issue.
I pressed the power button--nothing. I repeated this multiple times. Nothing. I tried a hard reboot by pressing the corresponding multiple buttons at once. Nothing. I even plugged it in to see if I might be able to get it to start while connected to a wall outlet. Nothing--not even the orange LED light turning on to indicate it was connected to a power outlet.
The phone was totally and utterly unresponsive--no lights or indicators were working; it wouldn't power up; the screen was completely black. I eventually gave up and left the phone on my end table next to my recliner, figuring that I'll take it in to my Sprint store tomorrow. Well, about 30 minutes after it went completely dead, it inexplicably powered itself back on.
I'm baffled as to what had happened.
