N.E.A.K. Gingerbread kernel (v1.x)

Ditto. Neak 1.3.3 rocks. And now gadget check no longer seeming to use his beta testers, life is much less exciting. I'd happily do some testing too to brighten up my life again.

Are you sure about that Syd, we will never see a NEAK kernel get past the beta stage:D
Seriously though you have another tester here if needed.

My days of breaking kernels are over shotty. Although having had gokhan name a kernel in my honour I kinda preferred it when I was ;) :):)

With apologies to J Clarkson Esq and the BBC:

Some say that he has antimatter in his veins rather than blood, and that 24hrs in his hands is the equivalent of a month's testing by mere mortals. All we know is that he's called............ The Syd! :D

There is no, "Dummies Guide", for the N.E.A.K. kernel yet as I am waiting on v1.4 which should be out in the next few weeks.

As stated in the...

http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-...-guide-installation-settings.html#post3851794

It is also worth noting that most of what follows can also be applied to the excellent N.E.A.K. kernel which can be downloaded here:-

[KERNEL][20.01.12][VooDoo] N.E.A.K. Kernel for I9100 - Think Different! (v1.3.2x) - xda-developers

The N.E.A.K. kernel, is by default, slightly more heavily u/v'd than Siyah but you should be OK with the u/v settings posted for Siyah. As always, with u/v'ing, it is a case of trial and error and u/v should be carried out with caution, step-by-step, at -25mV on each level, one-at-a-time, and allow thorough testing before moving on.

It might pay you to grab a coffee and start reading from post #134 in this thread to bring yourself up to speed with N.E.A.K. v1.3.3.

Same. I think anyone thinking of using should have a good read through the xda page first anyway.

Any apologies from your pakistan friend?

Does anyone have the neak ota apk? I deleted mine by mistake.

You lazy so-and-so! :D

You could either...

Re-install the NEAK kernel, which would give you the downloader again, or use Titanium backup and restore.

Failing that... PM me! ;)

Would you like me to fan you with a damp kipper as well?

Thanks mate.
I guess I was being lazy. Couldn't be bothered to reflash and I didn't have a backup of it.I've been jumping between neak and siyah a lot while testing them and I guess neak always missed my weekly titanium backup. Although the neak ota should still have been on my phone after changing to siyah so no ideas why it never got backed up.

Make it a mackerel and we're on.

got my coffee ready. Thanks again Iron, I'm sorry for all my stupid questions recently, I bet you're getting tired of seeing me lol

No problems DeadBeginning. The secret to these sort of things is reading up on it... both on here and the xda forum.

Besides, everytime I successfully help someone on Android Forums, the mod's send me a sweet... I got 2 now! :D

Personally mate, I wouldn't bother. Its more intended for noobs who are new to all this, and dont read an xda thread or anything on here from one month to the next.

Old android goats like you shouldn't need it butty! :)

Yeah it's not essential for me to have as I can flash everything manually. It's just nice to have it there for those lazy occasions. Can check to see if anything good has been added and save myself a bit of time reading through a load of xda pages.
