I don't think so. The htc branding is much lower and closer to the left edge of the device.

eh, you're right. it does look like it's a little too far left to be for that but it's def in that shape (of the htc branding).

the cutouts look like they should match, but may be off slightly.
sag is also right, hard to tell from a pic =/

edit: looking at it again, bendispo is right. it's way too thick on the left side. it should dip almost immediately for the htc branding. hmmm.

those are small, but i think that's about 4.5 in length. the Evo is 4.8 lengthwise so i don't think it covers the bottom buttons up. interesting.
thanks for measuring!

Sorry about the pic size...it actually measures out to about 4 11/16 Hard to measure and take a pic with one hand, lol...didn't have a ruler.

I just measured also, and it's almost exactly 4.6 inches. If the device is 4.8 inches long, then the screen protector definitely covers the entire screen face (including the bottom buttons), since that only leaves 0.1 inches on both side, which seems just about right, since we have to also take into account the plastic casing around the phone as well as the fact that the protector has to at least be a tiny bit smaller than the entire face.

True... hard to tell. If I had some more time for photoshop, I'd digitally overlay the screen protector onto the face of the phone... but I have a final paper to write tonight. I might be able to get to it tomorrow. :)

If I hear back from clarivue, I'll of course let you all know.

Thanks for measuring as well...I'm a jarhead grunt (with a college degree, lol) who can eye f*** things...not good at measuring.

yup, so i take that back. it does indeed cover the buttons

yeh, that must be pretty difficult heh

awesome, thanks. good luck on that paper. gotta write one tomorrow myself =/

@mrva

Hahaha...you know what U.S. Marine stands for right? Muscles Are Required Intelligence Non-Essential, lol. See I can poke fun at myself and not want to whoop everyone's ass, :)

I too would like to know Clarivue's response to your email bendispo. My Clarivue Ultra-Clear is already en route .

maybe the deeper cut is there the proxcimity sensor is located and they didnt want to cover it b/c it might cause issue w/ the sensor?

Hello again...

Couldn't help myself so photoshopped the Clarivue on top of the EVO. It looks like it might be okay after all. Perhaps the extra cutout on the left is indeed for the proximity sensor. I think I'd actually prefer to have everything protected (camera and proximity sensor), but perhaps Clarivue thinks it would affect the performance... especially if you're using a privacy or mirror finish. But, it would be nice to have fully protection on the crystal clear version.

Most importantly, though, it looks like Clarivue did get the orientation right. :)

I'm the opposite, I'd rather have the camera and sensors free. I just got mine in today! I put the protector over my iPod touch for comparison I was relieved to find that it's not going to be too big for me...seems like just the right size :)

Don't know since I haven't really used any others. I'm working on a thread that will hopefully help us with that question.

big thanks! yup, it looks right. the blue tint of the screen protector was throwing me off but that's exactly what it is, proximity sensor.

i'm interested to see responses for sure.

&would you mind posting the link here to said thread? i'm not seeing it, but that could be because i'm blind lol

Oh, I just trimmed the outline of the screen protector in Photoshop and overlay it on top of the image of the EVO. The screen protector is perfectly clear, but I tinted it blue in Photoshop so we could see its coverage distinctly on top of the phone.

In the original photos, the screen protector looks blue, because it arrives covered, top and bottom, with a thin blue protective sheet, which will be removed during installation. The bottom layer is removed to reveal the adhesive/static side, and the top layer is then removed to reveal the pristine top surface.

Any one order the Clarivue Mirror Screen Protector ? I was thinking of getting that one but will it be extra reflective lol

Thanks for turning me on to the otterbox cases, I will get one. Looks very durable and cool looking

i personally think they are ugly. i dont like how it says OTTER in huge letters down the back of it, looks cheesy. they are way too bulky for the evo, that thing would be a tank with one of those cases. and the overall look of them reminds me of a 90's bulky plastic wrist watch

not my idea of style...

Just preordered the Seidio Innocase Surface and hoster combo for $50. There is 10% coupon if you go over $50 (DFN10), but I didn't feel like finding a less than $5 filler or paying for a screen protector I wouldn't use. Go to Seidio - Your Single Source for Premium Smartphone Accessories, and the Evo stuff is on the front page. Couldn't justify the 1750mah battery at only 250 over stock without seeing how the battery performs first.

The Innocase Surface is probably the thinnest case you'll find for the Evo at 1mm thick. I strictly get them for resale value on the phone down the road. Think

I'm still worried about the pocket-ability after having even an Innocase on it. My girlfriend will probably get one for her EVO regardless b/c she keeps her phone in her purse, and I will test it out then and see if I like it. I am very careful of my phones, but with such a large screen, I'm worried that if a drop did occur, it would break the glass even on a minor fall...

I'm mainly bummed that Boxwave doesn't have any screen protectors available for the EVO yet...they were always my favorite screen protectors, been using them for a while now.

any reason why you can't get the HD2 protectors?. Though I've done just fine with ones off of ebay, when I use them.

I worry about pocketability too, but at this stage of the game it's worth checking out. Plus if it's something I hand carry a bit, I'm more prone to dropping and banging it that way so the extra protection is worth it. I'd also hope they've done some drop and bang type testing to see how much it can take. One would hope anyway. Plus, if I do holster it, the extra millimeter is hardly noticeable.

Any further insight into the clavirue protectors would be great. Does the Ultra Clear enhance the colors of the screen on the EVO?
