Root nand restore help

ok i install this recovery-RA-supersonic-v2.3.img working fine did a few nand back up but now when i go do a nandroid restore i get this error=something went wrong please check your recovery log how do i fix this so i can install my back up roms.?? thanks
 
Have you renamed the nands in any way? need to have no spaces or strange characters in name, if you did,

What does the log say when you go into it? haven't looked at one myself, should be able to get to it in recovery, maybe. should give someone a clue how to help you.

i just name it example=BDS-stock-11-20-2012
i didn't know where to see the log errors.??
 
try renaming one without the dashes and see if it works.

Let me check my nand file real quick. and recovery.

edit: nope, dash is ok. let me look at recovery and see if I can find the log for you.

Edit 2, make sure there are no spaces in your nand name.
 
i looked on my recovery, i'm on v4.2 smelkusMOD, i can't tell you how to get to log.

mine has an OTHER category and then an option to move recovery log to sd.

have you tried making a new nand and see if it will restore?

i am going to google and see if I can find answer for you. On eof the guys will show up with a better answer for you, hang tight. :)

ok when doing a nand back up is there only suppose to be an x on boot system and data the click on perform backup.???
there has to be something wrong with recovery i just install a fresh rom then did a nand back up of left it the way it name it try to restore it and got the same error.????
 
Boot, System and Data are all you would need. I do sd ext if I am using a2sd, as well.

what size sd card are you using? 2 gig has problems with various things. do you have a different one you can try like Robo suggested?

Were you ever able to find the recovery log as described above?

ok formating and changing ext-2 to 3 fix the problem thanks you guys for the help
 
just an fyi anytime you get the error you need to immediately go to advanced (in amon ra) and then select move recovery log to sd. then on your phone you can either use a file manager to open the recovery log or you can move it to the pc and use your computer to open it.
