I assume you backup up everything?I'm at work, pardon the brevity.
Was happily running MikG 3.11 forever.
Made Nandroid.
Flashed CM7. Flashed Gapps. Tinkered a bit.
Didn't like, restored Nandroid.
Phone not at all restored, multiple apps missing, gapps missing, weirdness abounds.
Ideas? Thanks!

are you partitioned and backed up sd-ext?
Using DT a2sd?
Did you wipe everything except your SD card before restoring your MikG? If not, there will be some CM7 files that will stick around that will mess with your restored nandroid.

Gotcher back ocnNot really. A nandroid restore wipes everything before it restores. There is a thread that talks about it by the great akazabam. I'm on the phone so do not have a link for it, but I well post as soon as I'm on my computer.
I'm thinkin your nandroid backup is corrupt somehow. I may have missed it, but curious as to what recovery you have?Didn't work, still same issues.
Anyone got a new idea out there? I'm all out.
Thanks!

Do you either have another nand backup , or, flash a fresh rom.
Well, try this,Yeah, it seems like the nand is corrupt. I'm using AmonRa 2.3, always have.
Tell me if this is crazy talk -
Seems the ROM is fine, but all my apps are screwy. I have all the apps backed up in TB.
SO, what if I went in recovery, wiped the caches, and wiped the SdExt. Then rebooted, went back and ran the batch restore in TB? Sorta a clean house for the apps.
After that, I guess I'm recovering all the data I can, wiping clean and re-flashing MikG 3.11.....
Well, try this,
go into recovery, wipe cache, dalvik cache, fix permissions and do a repair sd-ext.
Or go into terminal emulator and type
su
a2sd repair
a2sd reinstall
That just might have worked.....I did those, then remembered under the old setup I had the davlik on the sd, so re-ran cachesd command.
Right now TB is restoring apps and seems to be running ok!!

mmm...dont know alot about cm7 to tell you anything, but I surmise cm7 either has a2sd baked into it or support for it....really cant truly answer that my friend.Yep.. All back to normal... Well, that was enough of a PITA to say screw it, sticking with this ROM!
On a side note, I manually installed a2sd in CM7 and got some weird error messages and a lot of FC's.. is running dark tremors and CM7 a no-no?

Using DT's a2sd is just fine, no worries there.. What build of CM7 was it, possibility that it was a bad flash or a borked build
Got it off CM's site direct, listed as the current, stable build. I didn't flash a kernel or anything. I was getting lots of force closes...mostly Google Play crashing over and over. My contacts were all jacked up too.....
I only did it because I thought I could milk some more time out of my battery on a more bare-bones system like CM7.
Mostly I wasn't impressed, I'm sticking with Mik for now. I hear good things about that Strike ICS Rom, I might give that a go if I get bored again.
By this time in the builds, there shouldn't be any sort of FC's going on, just fyi. Not a proper wipe before flash would be my guess why you had issues, what recovery are you using?CM7 is very particular, I assume you flashed the stable build? Since flashing CM roms, imo, the stable builds were always the most buggy, nightly builds always worked better for meBy this time in the builds, there shouldn't be any sort of FC's going on, just fyi.
