Neat ROM

The power menu works just fine on all versions of neat, with or without jkay.
Do you mean the phone shuts down, or just the screen turns off?
You do know you have to long press the power button to display the power menu of course?

thanks, done. but still no delete from server when deleted from phone. i tried clearing data and setting up the accounts again but still the same.

it's a bit annoying, would be interested to know if anyone has got this working?

there's no way of manually entering server details, on gingerbread, i found connection settings online and these were able to delete from server. i think the default connection settings to the email account don't allow delete from server.

Hi Hawker, the Power Menu do not work in any of the NeatROM i've flashed. If i press POWER, it will shupt down in about 1 second. Do not show nothing. I do flash ROMs for a while, im a MOD in a Brazilian Android Forum also.

I never used Jkay a lot so maybe im doing something wrong but i read and read all info many times.

I did a full wipe including SD Cards, flashing stock ROM and later the NeatROM but still do not show the Power Menu.

I downloaded NeatROM lite UHLPS and XWLPI and NeatROM UHLPS. Downloaded from home and work computer twice.

Downloaded the propper framework for each one of the and Jkay Deluxe from Market.

All functions work but with or without Jkay the Lock Screen and the Power Menu do not work and the Lock Screen do not appear.

OBS: I flashed back RootBOX and everything is fine. Lockscreen and Power Menu. It just dont work with NeatROM.

Hi Salesale, thank you for your help.

Yes, all those questions are mine and none of those answers helped me.

Let me tell you what i do for flashing a new ROM:

Do a Full Wipe manually and also with Hawkers GS2Nuker.
Install ROM, Reboot.
Configure ROM, do my Titanium Restore (only apps and data)
Reboot on Recovery, Wipe Cache & Dalvik and install Jkay Framework. Reboot.
Install Jkay Deluxe Settings.

On all the ROMs i've tested, i was unable to use Power Menu and Lock Screen.

Even when i try to use those functions before flashing Jkay framework. It does not show.

Since a long time i was using only AOKP but your ROM got a very nice Battery Life and i would like to keep using it. Anyway, nice Job.

So what happens immediately after you have just flashed a new rom and reboot?
Does the power menu work then?
If so, something is breaking this for you after this point.

Test each step in turn.

Try this:
full wipe
install rom
reboot (do not configure or restore anything)
flash jkay framework
reboot
install jkay deluxe
check

Full Wipe >> Flashed NeatROM Lite XWLPI

Power Menu do not work. After pressing it, it Shut Down the system.

flash jkay framework

Full Wipe >> Flashed ROM >> rebooted without configuring anything >> Flashed Jkay framework >> Reboot >> Installed Jkay Deluxe....

Still Shut Down the system. Do not show Lock Screen and/or Power Menu.

Didn't test this way but i will try. I need to go home now, still at work.

In about 1 hour i will give you a feedback.

Hi guys... didn't work but i finally(fail) found the problem. This issue is related to a missing or corrupted file /efs/imei/keystr.

To solve this issue, youi need to do the following:

Code:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
reboot

EDIT: Well... after reboot, didn't work.

Strange how it works with RootBox.
AOKP ROMs must behave differently to Sammy based ROMs to show this menu then.

Yup. Don't know what to do now. I guess i will need to stick with AOKP.

All 4.0.4 ROMs works fine.

All 4.0.3 ROMs i've tried did not work.

is that file 100% correct?
ie ON in uppercase with no spaces before or after?

Also make sure permissions are rw-rw-r--
Might also be worth trying to run Fix Permissions in CWM Recovery too.

Permissions is OK but i didn't try to Fix Permission on CWM. Will try this.

Have you tried flashing a stock ROM via Odin?
This flashes more areas than a CWM flash of a ROM. (Eg. /mnt/.lfs)
They are not 350Mb+ for nothing! :)

Perhaps something in one of these other areas is corrupt.

Very interesting. Is it possible to clean these directories properly after flashing via Odin?
Thanks!
