Neat ROM

How can I turn off noise reduction for good? I mean that I don't have to turn if off at every call. I tried to flash: UHLPS_Noise_Reduction_Turned_Off

but then suddenly my network dissapier so I had to flash ROM again(without wipe to fix it:/)

Send me your Phone.apk on PM

Can I do that after I flash XWLPI NeatRomLite v1.1 Themed, would it be possible to turn it off on that version of ROM ?

I decided to try with that version and LPX modem + siyah kernel. Mybe I then manage to avoid that break ups during call.

Also, will send you some donation for a few beers over paypal today ;)

How odd! Going back to a firmware released in May.

I would have hoped that sale might have cast his eye over the latest release for July...

NORDIC COUNTRIES, unbranded, Android 4.0.4, XWLPO

(Hang on... what happened to Irene's post I was quoting? Knickers! ninja'd by the old boy!)

"What do we want?" ...............XWLPO
"When do we want it?...............whenever Sale is ready I suppose :)

Looking forward to this release if Sale finds the time to do this. Ive been as confused as a blind lesbian in a fish market... UHLPS, XWLPG, DHL, FIFA......I have no idea what is going on. Ive been flashing that much I could get arrested for indecent exposure.

Admittedly for the past week in Sales abscence I have reverted to Neatrom V1.2 which is still the best ROM for me. I tried the latest ROM with JKAY and vertumus theme and it didnt really float my boat. Obviously another fantastic piece of work by Sale but for me, there is something quite sexual about myLPG Rom, but something tells me that XWLPO will be the new chick in town.

Also, on another note Im actually quite gutted that Sale isnt the person in his profile picture, for months Ive been picturing him working away, slavishly flashing like a lunatic with that smile on his face. I know the picture is an F1 driver but Im not having it, that is Sale in my mind.....The same way I do actually believe that Hawker is a cat with opposable thumbs........and ironass is a.......is a.....is a.....?????? what the hell are you dude !!!

Just one of the reasons I love Neatrom lite v 1.2. I've been using my phone all day too...50% battery to mess around with in the pub after work

1st Off, great job Salesale.

I'm using UHLPS NeatRom Lite v3.0.1 Themed.

I thing I have noticed is that my network (phone) is getting disconnected and not re-connecting (this has not happened on this phone before). Also had a phone call drop out yesterday (this has never happened on this phone and network before). The solution to get the network back was to reboot the phone. I did try to put the phone on airplane mode so it would force the phone to search for the carrier, but for some reason the Airplane mode switch in the pull down only seems turn the icon on and not put the phone into Airplane mode.

Anyone else have these issues and what did you do to fix them?

i have been using UHLPI themed which is flawless, when i flash UHLPS (no wipe, just dalvik and cache), i can't get internet to work, just force closes everytime, both browser and google search bar. any ideas folks?

Did you full wipe between XWLPI and UHLPS?
Did you do any TB restore of Internet app/bookmarks between the 2 versions?

I would stick to LPI anyway. Its the best one yet :)

nah, no full wipe, didn't see it as a major upgrade to be fiddlin with all my settings again and TB. didn't use TB at all, just flashed no wipe with dalvik and cache. LPI is pretty slick, so will be happy to stick with it until the next *big* thing :)

I've got to agree with the old boy... LPG/LPI is the best 4.0.3 firmware to-date.

I tried UHLPS a couple of weeks ago and the stock firmware was not a patch on LPG/LPI.

IMHO, UHLPS is the South American version of the old Polish LPS release, way back in March and it performs like it. Whilst I know that the build date is later that doesn't necessarily mean that the firmware that it is based on is newer.

I found LPG and LPI, not a lot of difference between these two, if any, are a lot more sophisticated than the UHLPS build as a number of posters who have tried both have found out.

did you do anything to extend the battery life after flashing with Neatrom? like changing settings and undervolting?

I've found dropping the CPU speed down to 25mhz - so I am using 25mhz-1000mhz - saves me a lot on battery.

25mhz now gets used a lot for minor tasks that would usually use 100/200mhz. I believe someone on another post on here gave said advice, works well with neat rom.

However the latest release battery wise doesn't feel as solid as neat-lite 1.0 or 1.2 imho, the voltage tweaks I use don't seem to transfer well to the UHLPS release either, causing instability that wasn't there in previous versions of neat rom for me.

Hiya mate,

Yes I did make some tweaks, most of these are courtesy of Ironass or Hawker so I cant take credit all though my settings may be slightly different to theirs.

First of all you must have ExTweakspro simply for the fact that it is a powerful yet easy tool to use,(you obvioulsy have to have certain kind of Kernels installed too, but I can only recomend Siyah as Ive never tried anything else.)

First of all you need to open Extweaks then in the top right hand corner change Default to Battery. i then do the following

CPU Tab
1. Tick Gentle Fair Sleepers
2. Change the CPU Undervolting to -25mv. (I have gone to -50mv before but I feel safe at 25)

GPU Tab
1. I change the GPU Freq Step 1 to 66mhz
2. The other two steps I have at 133mhz and 267mhz but I believe they are default battery values
3. GPU Voltage Levels
Level 1 - 850mV
Level 2 - 900mV
Level 3 - 1000mV

Audio Tab
1. Headphone Amplifier = 2

Thats all I do regarding the kernel

The other stuff is pretty basic, I dont use Wifi or Bluetooth so they remain unchecked. On my homscreen I have many widgets but none of them are widgets that reresh such as Facebook or BBC. I only use widgets that act on interaction.

I turn Automatic Sync on first thing in the morning for an hour then turn it off until dinner. and repeat the process through out the day after every couple of hours.

I keep my phone on Auto Brightness until I get home where I know I dont need much power and then I will turn to manual brightness.

I also use Jkay settings and in there, there is an option to "Cancel Foreground App" by holding dow the back button. This ensures that I have no App open and running in the background secretly all though the Galaxy S2 is good enough to do this on its own eventually, I like having the control

My Wallpaper is always dark too.

I know these setting are available in many battery threads but since you asked directly I thought I should reply.

Cheers

couple of days ago i flashed the neatrom xxlpw v2.2 rom with siyah 3.4.1 but had some problem so flashed my stock xxlpw again.

now i want to flash this NeatRom version...

NeatRom Lite v3.0.1 Themed
Firmware: I9100UHLPS (4.0.3)
Modem: UHLPG
CSC: OXXLP7 Multi CSC

and maybe this version too...

XWLPI NeatRom Lite (29th June 2012)
Firmware: I9100XWLPI (4.0.3)
Build date: Fri Jun 8 2012
Modem: XXLPX
CSC: OXXLP7 Multi CSC

at present my SGSII has got the following...

Android Version : 4.0.3
PDA : I9100XXLPW
PHONE : I9100XXLPW
CSC : I9100OXALPW

so now i want to flash a stock firmware that matches this firmware version before flashing NeatRom and i'm stuck at which firmware/csc i should flash.

any suggestion?

As you have already previously flashed stock LPW, I wouldn't bother with any more stock flashes.
I would just full wipe and flash Neat Lite LPI.
