Neat ROM

I'm flashing this once the kids are in bed :)

Any preferences with the Aroma mods ? I'm thinking of going with v3. I know a full wipe is always recommended but coming from NEAT LPI, do I really need to ?

A big thanks to salesale, I'm already a donator, but I'm donating again. I think his efforts deserve it.
Thank you mate.
Make a nandroid backup and try without wipe

Can someone clear this up for me, is lpy (4.0.4) and lpx (4.0.4) the same, but for different regions... Kind of like uhlps and lpi (I think). Someone is going to understand what I mean.... hopefully

ER...yes I think so. Where's ironass when you need him ?:D

This ROM is superb BTW, I love the mods and how you select them in CWM via Aroma installer. It's quite beautiful. I also have Calvo's Note Gallery working as well.

One small niggle, Swype (3) keeps FCing. I set it as default keyboard and it took an age to change to Swiftkey as it froze the phone before it FCed. I was going to clear it's cache in Applications but it just said it was computing (it's cache and data sizes etc.) and wouldn't compute IYSWIM.

Uninstall Swype using an application like Titanium Backup. Also, delete folder /data/data/com.swype.android.inputmethod using root explorer or ADB. Then reboot your phone and install Swype as a normal apk

Hi Sale, I very rarely request anything from a developer, but I was just wondering do you think it would ever be possible to add a brightness slide bar underneath the toggles?

I know there is a brightness toggle but this is limited to pre determined percentages.. I prefer to slide to my preference like in the settings.

No worries if not but I thought I'd ask just in case you can. I wouldn't put it past your ability

Thanks

I've just come back frok the Simplistic Rom, it looked nice but NEAT kept pulling me back ;-)

Just installed 3.4, together with Dorimanx kernel. A child can do the laundry as we say here in Holland :D But I also wanted the mods, so I've flashed Aroma 2.56 too. And I don't really get it... What do I do with this? Is there a dummy's guide to Aroma? Because after flashing Aroma (and pushing some random buttons) nothing really seemed to happen. I've flashed the v3 mods and now I can see some changes but I can't seem to adjust anything else...

Anybody here who can give me a little push in the right direction?

Like S3? :)
I can try, but there is a small prob. I need time :)

Mate,
Download Aroma mods v3.1, copy to internal SD, go to CWM/Flash update/find Aroma

Edit
Lol, I am no longer a junior member! I AM A MEMBER!

Yes ofcourse I understand that part (duhuh ;)), I allready did that. But what next? I would think there is some kind of app or something where I can choose which settings I want to apply (like between ICS and Stock locksreen)

I'm frequently in awe of developers like gokhanmoral and salesale. To take kernels and ROMs, improve on them no end and do this on their own is simply outstanding.

I can't blame gokhanmoral, I applaud his stance and totally agree with him. We are mostly "power users" who should salute the talents of developers, support them and not complain when we cock things up with something we've done ourselves.

As for XDA, a den of wolves, green eyed monsters and all round selfish morons.

Did you mean Kitchen?
Is it too hard to flash Aroma and choose which mods you want to install on to your device?

Found some bugs from LPY Aroma Mods.

1.) ICS Lockscreen does not remove Stock Swipe Lockscreen.
- You can still swipe at any part of the screen to unlock the phone. Tho the ICS Lockscreen works.

2.) Sound getting reduced
- I flashed NEAT ROM again because I forgot the back up UHLPH Modem and fcked things up. Since I was craving for music that time, I played a song using doubleTwist app with equalizer at max so 1 Volume = 3x to 4x. When I flashed LPY Aroma Mods, suddenly the sound reduced, 1 Volume is equivalent to .3 Volume with Beats Audio and Max Equalizers.

So far that's the only thing I noticed with these Aroma Mods, none the less, good job. :)
Btw thanks for the center clock mode. :D

It seems so... I think of myself as something more than your run of the mill n00b. But this time I'm totally lost. So I apologise if my questions seem a bit silly. The last thing I want is to annoy anybody (especially you Sale ;)) with my stupid questions...

You're right, I expected something like Kitchen to be able to choose the mods I want. From you reaction I understand that's not the case. But I don't see when/where/how I can choose which mods I want after I've flashed Aroma. If you could give me a nudge in the right direction, I would be very grateful

I know you say you are above a noob (ha ha) but I just wanted to check if you are you are using the CWM app or rebooting into recovery using Volume up-home-power switch?

1) Fixed in v3.1
2) I will check this issue

Download it again, make sure it's not corrupted, check md5sum, copy to internal sd and try again

There was a 3.1? Never knew. haha.

2.) I don't know. Maybe "- S3 look + Call Rec + No SMS/MMS in call log + No Increase Ring" may have caused it.

Me again ;-)

Could it be that I downloaded the wrong file? Both download links in the
"LPY Mods - Aroma v3.0" post in this thread are not working, so I looked over in your XDA thread and downloaded the 3.0 mods from there. But now that I want to try and reflash everything, I notice there's no mention of "Aroma" in the mod I downloaded from XDA...

I use the CWM app to reboot in recovery. Why go the long way if there's a short one :D
