OK, I updated from LS8 to LSD as soon as it came out; and I have been getting an occasional error. It happens about once a day, and each time so far whilst using whatsapp, but that may just be a coincidence as, due to work, I'm not using the phone a lot at the moment.

I get a black screen with this error at the top.

Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.

The phone seems to carry on as normal after I OK the message. Be nice to cure it though. Have tried changing and wiping kernels, made no difference. I did not do a full wipe when I upgraded, so maybe that's the first thing to try. I did do a full wipe when changing from stock to Neatrom initially.

I had that problem once with a number of apps after flashing the multiwindow mod, just reinstalled the rom without the mod and all was well.

Have you flashed any additional mods ?

Major issues on Ls8 for me. Some times I cannot call out , text out or even recieve calls even with full signal. Only a reboot solves it temporarily. Will update to the latest firmware to see if this fixes it but this is not a good thing for me as a parent. I need my phone in case of emergencies.

NEAT Full LS8
Jeboo V1-3

I would certainly start from scratch and flash the latest LSD firmware as a base, root and then install Neat LSD. In fact I do this every time I install a new Rom now.

I am sure that 90% of problems arise from 'dirty' installs. It is a bit more time consuming but saves you tearing your hair out in the long run!

Exactly what I have done this time round. Infact heres a new one. It seems to of soft bricked itself randomly now. The phone was sat next to me in the car and shut down by itself then got stuck on the samsung galaxy splash screen. Couldnt access recovery either , just download mode which is now low battery so cant even use that yet.

This latest update has been nothing but bad luck for me.

I saw you're using jeboo kernel. How does Neat behave with it (battery, smoothness, etc). Now, I am using Speedmod after Siyah and PhilZ and would like to the best partner for NeatRom.

Where can I download it?

Thanks!

Im gonna try with Philz for a bit longer. My phone has been behaving very oddly on Jeboo. But who knows if thats to blame. Im having to do a full reset and reflash after a soft bricking.

I'm still of the feeling the LSJ leak has been the best JB firmware up to now.

I have to say that I've been a, "Happy Chappy", on LSJ, LS8 and LSD.

I do not flash any mods over my NEAT ROM Full, apart from the small one that you do for transparent Notification bar and Status bar toggles and you would be the first to know if they didn't work! ;)

I have never had any issues with PhilZ, i do not tweak this and that etc so have had no reason to change it

I've had random shutdowns on ls8 after installing some mods. Wiped and stuck to only aroma mods, all fine.

Lsd was fine until I installed some mods, then got boot loops. Nuked the bugger and all fine again.

I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm not flashing any more mods, official sale and Hawker mods aside that is
:-)

(although I have flashed the black sb mod, hated the grey.)

Yep I had flashed a couple other than Aroma. So may try a more standard install of NEAT this time. I cant afford these kinds of bugs right now.

As in my post yesterday , the only time i have had any issues on either LSJ, LS8 or LSD was when i flashed mods, only Aroma has worked flawlessly for me

Dont mean to double post but i dont think we will see an Aroma for LSD for a while, Sale seems to getting hammered on XDA by people asking for custom mods or mods specific to their phone , and Sale being Sale he is trying to help everyone

Right I flashed LSD via Odin and Im half tempted to stick on Stock till May when I upgrade. Or at least stick with stock.

I'm still of the feeling the LSJ leak has been the best JB firmware up to now.

I'm of a similar opinion, lsj felt really solid and it had all the extra tweaks (lift phone to ear to initiate a call from a text etc....)

Ls8 kept crashing on me, but lsd has been fairly solid and I think may be smoother than the other two.

I have flashed a couple of mods with no issues, blue 23 and status bar icons and call record.... No issues other than missing bits from lsj!

I think they may be causing your issues then, only Aroma seemed to work ok for me

OK, in order to remove the mods to see if that was causing the problem I reflashed the original ROM. The phone rebooted but got stuck with the Samsung boot animation running (gave up after 30 mins.) So I rebooted to recovery and did a full wipe\factory reset and wiped cache. Rebooted, still the same. I then went in and wiped the delvik cache and this time the phone booted up OK. Seems to me like there was something left over in the delvik cache the reinstalled rom did not like.

I will see how the phone behaves now without flashing any mods, although TBH I really don't like the increasing ringtone. I set it at the volume I want, not to have the phone decide I need it quieter to start with. I work in a factory!

Anyway, I hope this may help others; and that it may give Sale or others an insight into what happened on my device. Back up and running now with no errors so far.

trying to navigate the neat rom thread on XDA is frustrating, did any of you suggest a third party app for fixing GPS location. It was a link to another forum topic started by a dev making his own GPS app, had loads of download links on it.
