Neat ROM

It's been an age since I updated my Rom and I'm still using Neat Lite 1.2 but it's about time I stepped up to JB.

Couple of questions: can I flash straight from ICS to JB, after a wipe obviously? Do the newer versions still come with Swype pre-installed or might I lose it and my dictionary? Is it best to back apps up with Carbon or Titanium?

Ok I've finally decided to"upgrade" to lsn from unofficial lsj, however, among all the different mods I'm struggling to find any I like, can anyone point me in the direction of a reloaded mod that is suitable for this Rom? Cheers
 
New lsn and siyah was fab for battery. With hirox was even better. Latest dori it's just as good. Would seem to me that it's this Rom version that's fab on battery life rather than the kernels.

I've been getting a regular daily freeze with this setup. The only thing that will clear it is a hard reboot. Anyone else experiencing this? :confused:
 
Hmm, makes me think it's maybe an app on my phone that's causing it. I'll look in that direction before doing a reflash. Thanks everyone :)
 
I have noticed that when I change the shortcuts in the stock camera app, the next time I go to use the camera app it has the old shortcuts and my change didn't stick.
 
I installed Lite 4.6.1 a couple of weeks ago and it is going great. My phone has never been so good, thanks to everyone involved with NeatROM and this thread/forum. I think I will hold off getting a new phone for the foreseeable future, I could get an upgrade in the next couple of months. Might even wait until the S5 or a future Nexus phone come out.

Quick question. How do I check which kernel I am using?
 
But how do I tell if I am using Siyah or PhilZ or Dorimanx etc and what version? I am guessing I am using PhilZ as it looks like that's what came as standard.
 
If you have only flashed the neat ROM then it will be philz, I can't remember what it says under"about device" but I'm on dori and it says siyah-dorimanx followed by version of it (8.14)

Open CWM and it will tell you in the first section you see, alternately just boot in Clockwork Mod
 
Been reading this forum for ages and so thought I may as well join and say thanks to everyone for the banter haha, and thanks to sale for Neat ROM which made my phone totally better than before! :D

XWLSN is still the latest atm.....Unfortunately, I have gone all stock ROM. The reason is LSN lite decided to argue with my phone and stayed on boot loop, overheated and jus died. I tried reflashing and still not on good grounds.
