Root Need help... Badly...

I had the same problem when I originally bricked my phone, with my computer reading it. I would recommend uninstalling all your lg drivers, and reinstalling them. Also try to unplug and plug in the phone a couple times, maybe even fresh reboot on your comp. For some wierd ass reason I still get a couple error messages sometimes when I synch, but after i plug it back in it works fine. I would say if you ever try any modding again, get the custom recovery installed. That basically saved my ass.

if anyone's watching this thread. :o

I'm following the instructions for my poor P509 - the drivers all work correctly when the phone is healthy so all that part is good [pc is win7] - the problem I'm having is getting the phone in any mode other than the default.
- With the battery IN, hit power button, it looks perfectly normal until it puts up the "android" blink screen logo thingy, never gets past that point
- With battery OUT, pretty much nothing except the little widget that tells you to put the cover back on, which I think should be ... put battery back in.
- Tried the key combinations Pwr+back+Vol- and Pwr+Home+Vol- and get the same two conditions as above [with battery out, plugged into USB cable, vs Battery-in, ]

so I assume the PC can't communicate in that mode?

Is there some particular sequence to the triplicate button-push?

Hi. I have a huge problem and I am so stressed because some of the people in these forums are awfully mean and I am already having a bad enough time, Plus I have been searching for 3 days and found no working solution. I love my phone and I fear I may just have to give up all hope, but I am just not quite ready to let go....
Seriously tho, I rooted my Optimus S and I had a hell of a time getting a recovery to work finally thunderc did the trick. then I added thundeRom, and I had it about to weeks when I came across this cool ROM called cyanogen nightly so I just had to have it. Well then my phone wouldn't flash into recovery. I tried installing many recoveries none would work.
After so many failed attempts I kept getting permission denied. I remembered that before I rooted I had the same problem and after I did a factory reset and wiped my phone clean it worked, So I did that again and I pretty sure it bricked, only I have not found any other post where the symptoms were just like mine. My phone will only blink LG nothing else.
I did back up with titanium before this and I had a nandroid backup also. Is there any hope? Does anyone know what may have happened with my recovery before this happened? It was working fine. I have not been this long without a phone in at least 10 years. Please help I would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

my phone is in fastboot mode and i cannot do anything with it the lg update tool finds it but at 15% says cannot communicate with phone someone please help

ok i got the kdz updater to find the phone but it couldnt install the software update :( i turned my phone off now it wont turn back on :(

You need to set up fastboot on your pc. Then you also need the flash_image bindary and a recovery.img for your phone.

With out fastboot you would have to use the lg updater(not recomended) let me know if you need help setting up fastboot!

thats exactly it, happened to me about a month ago.

You need to put it in emergency mode and use kp500 utility, I'm going to make a better way to unbrick tomorrow, this method wont zero out your MEID and you won't have to reprogram anything.

also if in fastboot, you can install drivers, plug phone in to computer, and check the device manager, int he usb section see if it says LG Fastboot device, if so you can use fastboot to flash a recovery and then flash a rom fromt here, you will most likely lose everything but you will have a working phone, fastboot is the easiest method if your computer recognizes it as a fastboot device. google fastboot, download the exe, put a recovery image int he same folder as fastboot, open command promt, navigate to fastboot folder, and run command: fastboot flash recovery nameof yourrecoveryfile.img

and done, then just need a rom to flash or a nand backup from b4 you goofed
