Need help updating sense
This question is probably on here, but I am squeezed on time right now. I would like to update my sense from 2.1 to 3.0 . Now is that a hardware change? That being the case, I'm screwed. Or is it something that can be easily done by flashing a rom or kernel? I have flashed ROMs that have "sense 3.0" but when I check my HTC sense version it still says 2.1. Does anyone have any ideas?

you'll need to flash a ROM that has Sense 3.0

If you've been flashing MikG or Synergy, your phone will say 2.1 because these two are ports from a 2.1 rom with 3.0 elements built in.

Here are a couple of Sense 3.0 roms you can try.

WORKING NETFLIX! NEW![ Kinged Kingdom RLS-1.5 ] 3.0 Sense ROMS 7/21/11 - xda-developers

[ROM]-[RLS2-7/21/11]-KInGdOm ReWiND 3D-[2.3.3]-[Sense 3.0] - xda-developers
+1 to the kingdom rewind rom. i just flashed this last night and it is pretty sweet so far.

also sense 3.0 is a huge and thus takes a lot of internal memory. it is recommended that you partition your card if you do. here is the guide that i used:[GUIDE][07/07/11]How to Partition your SD Card - xda-developers

I'm a bit hessitant to flash a full 3.0 rom, myself. Mostly because of the Internal Memory issue. I've never partitioned a memory card, so it makes me a bit nervous. And really, I'm just tired of all the data wiping and the re-installing of apps. I almost envy people with non-rooted phones.........almost.

partitioning you card is actually super easy. just follow the guide and you are good to go. it is super sweet and i have like almost 150 apps. most of them i do not even use. it is just because i can. lol i would recommend it. and also having more internal memory also means that your rom will be that much more snappier.

I would never envy anyone without a rooted phone:p I would then have to go Flashoholics Anonymous!!!!:eek::eek:

I have flased the ROM and partitioned my SD card. Is there a step I am missing? After partitioning and flashing, it still only shows only 40 MB of internal space free. How do I utilize the extra partitioned memory?
