Root Need help v stuck on boot animation

i put a new rom on my phone and it seemed to start working began to boot and got stuck on the green android logo.. i installed backside iho's rom.. im new to this need help asap!:confused:
 
Boot into recovery. Wipe everything as per the instructions in the thread for coming from another ROM. Follow the install directions and it'll work
 
It isn't the recovery, you'd have nothing but a black screen. Usually what causes your symptoms is not wiping everything properly. Like G19 said, go back through the install instructions and make sure you perform every step in order.
 
I had this same problem at first. go into recovery, wipe cache, go into advanced, then wipe dalvik cache. then go to mounts, and format: system, cache, and data, then reinstall your rom and you should be good to go :)

i tried putting it into recovery mode but the screen just goes black no menu nothing untill i pull out the battery it will load backside iho and freeze on the android with spining green loop
 
I'm no expert at completely restoring a phone. you'd have to ask some more people here on AF. try going into recovery a couple more times. hold home, volume button down, and the power button till the LG logo disappears. sometimes it messes up for me. if it keeps going to a black screen instead of recovery then I don't know what to do. :/ sorry man
 
yes from the rom manager app. and no i downloaded it off of media fire and uploaded it to my sd card and installed it to my phone with the root manager app.
 
Your problem is with using ROM Manager's recovery. That pos app has caused more troubles for OV users than just about all the rest put together.

Please use the IHO recovery I link to in the BACKside thread, it's listed directly above the ROM download link. ;)
 
It's not as easy as just changing recovery's. Tried that already
Most times the only way is to use bigsupersquids link to change recovery's.
OR download screen cast to see the recovery menu. Flash the ROM, then change the recovery with terminal emulator.
 
What part are you geting device not found? Sorry for delay. Almost got the PC going, just tying to figure out how to get it to enable me to enter password/key.
 
Don't worry it. You phone symptom from trying to do what you did is common. Proceed with the rest. Go to bigsupersquids post. There is an alternate code that will show it,just ain't got the time to find it.
