Root Need help with phone!!!!!! Urgent!!!!

My phone stays at the samsung screen I used odin but stays the same now odin won't recognize it and says error 2 and keeps disconnecting. I need my phone back please!
 
Can you provide more info ? Which Baseband did you odin ? What ROM ? What else did you do ? Any tweaks ? What happen if you pull the battery for a few minutes and then go back into download mode ( Vol- & Camera & Power button ) ?

Did you try removing and re-installing the Samsung drivers ? Which kind ? 32-bit or 64-bit ?
 
Honeybread no tweaks it started when I switched batteries like I normally do and it started I don't know about baseband it says downloading when I press camera vol diwn and power together wont let me go to recovery
 
Well if it says "downloading in yellow", than all is good !!!

Download : http://db.tt/ORBp3o3J ( FE16_ROOT_CWM5 )

Unzip these files to a folder ( REMEMBER this folder good ), then put phone in "download" mode, then connect cable and run Odin from this folder...... MAKE SURE, WHEN YOU SELECT THE .ops, phone and pda files in Odin, you select the files FROM THIS NEW FOLDER !!!! ( Odin remembers the last folders and you don't want to get a mixup with what you previously installed !!!!!

Good luck !

To get into "download mode " : VOL- / Camera / Power ( hold till yellow download appears )

To get into "recovery" : Vol+ / Power ( hold till blue CWM menu appears )
 
Which Odin image did you use? and do you still have CWM?

If you still have cwm just flash a ROM and you should be ok
 
It had ff19 I just used fe16 stiays at samsiung screen won't let me into recovery anything else? Could it be my batteries? When I plug it in when off it shows no nbattery for all phones
 
Yes, it could be the battery if it is a 3rd party battery. Some batteries ( I heard ) don't play very well with the Prevail, especially if they are cheap chinese ones !!!
 
So what happens if you turn off the phone and than hold "VOL+ & POWER" down for like a minute or two ( not releasing it.....maybe it just takes a little longer to enter CWM Recovery ?

try Odin again, but this time use all the files. Boot, phone, pda & csc. (iirc fe16 has the csc file too... If not just use the other 3)


If that doesn't work, try installing just cwm (with the instructions in the cwm thread)

I'm assuming the screen with the Samsung URL under it. (The very first image you see) That's the place the two who private messaged me were stuck... but in both cases they still had cwm...

I just can't. Go to recovery it stays on that frealking. Screenil

99% of the time I've been stuck there, it's because /system failed to mount.
best sign of that is trying to connect with ADB when it's stuck there and it errors out telling you it can't find /system/bin/sh.

That's when I ODIN back to a good image, or CWM in a known good kernel, or try tweaking something other than what i tweaked with to break it :)
 
If you flashed all the files from a stock image, and were sure that you put them all in the right slots, and flashed them all at the same time, and your phone still doesn't work, you have a hardware failure.

(PS: One more thing to check..... make sure your buttons are not sticky and are moving ! )

But other than that, like Kouma said, probably hardware failure, so you need to contact Samsung.... The turn-around time is like 7-10 day I heard !! ( if you are under warranty ! )
 
Yes, I think Samsung has like a one year warranty !! You should be good !

( Just don't tell the Samsung guys that you tried to root and and put custom ROM on..... Just play dumb and simply say your phone won't start ! )
