Root need help with root for 2.2.2 OV

anybody got a link on how to root this? I tryed the apk exploit but didnt work with the new os they have just trying to get a rid of bloatware thanks

That's for 2.2.1, isn't it?

Gingerbreak is for both 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 as long as it doesn't have the new radio update. If it does you will need the gordita root exploit. I am not personally familiar with it though.

If your baseband is zv4 you can use SuperOneClick or Gingerbreak
ZV5 you can use Gingerbreak
ZV9 you have to use Gordita method

You can find your baseband under Settings > About Phone

Yikes! I downloaded this app and my windows 8 tells me IT IS INFECTED WITH A VIRUS. How do I delete/cancel it on the new Windows 8 so as to not open it? Help!

It's not a virus, it's a false positive. Root uses a Trojan virus to add root to the phone, I assure you it's safe.
