Guys I just got an LTE and cant seem to get the right info on rooting it. Im running 1.22.651.3. Cant find anything for that version. On my EVO 4G im running mikg but now im lost all over again. please help. At least getting s-off. Thanks !!!!!

The rooting for dummies guide is one of the first couple topics under everything root. Its a GREAT walk-thru for getting s-off and root. Works fantastic on windows 7 64bit. That's how I rooted both mine and my wife's phone.
If you have any issues, check back here, as there are some really great and very talented folks to help you out.

That's just HTC dev from the looks if it. If you want to go that route I'd look into regawmods automated rooter.
It's a 1 click root that automates the HTC dev process. It will unlock you and you will have s-on
Hmmm...sounds very interesting. Would this work with my current software versions? Where is the best place to find this method and instructions?
Its in the automated HTC dev section of the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-lte...g-dummies-guide-lazypanda-racun-unlocked.html
"Successful in rooting all builds up to 2.13.651.1."
Ahh...I guess that wont work for me, I'm on version 1.22.651.3 710RD.
That *should* work for you then. Thats a lower version than listed.
Theres really no harm in trying, itll fail to unlock the bootloader if it wont work and you're in teh same place you are now
The s-off method depends in your hboot.
I believe they root you as well but if they don't all you have to do is install a custom recovery and flash the superuser file.
Chances are you'll want to flash a custom ROM at some point, and those are already prerooted
Its basically the same process for the user, they just recommend doing it in linux for the ltevo.
With that said, I used the windows version of lazy panda without a hitch
From what I gathered the lazy panda method wont work for me since I have a newer hboot version.
So it looks like what needs to be achieved is to get bootloader unlocked, get bootloader S-OFF, and to get a custom recovery installed so that I can get rooted. Does this sound correct?
If you go the S-OFF route (highly suggested), you dont need to unlock the bootloader. S-OFF gets around that.
If you are hboot 1.15 or above you'll need the racun method, which I'm not as familiar with.
