Root NEED SERIOUS HELP!!!!!.........please.

Ok so i followed those instructions but it still will not boot after editing the
#2: If you choose to Over Clock the rom, you should edit the sleepmode tweak in build.prop, the value is set at =1, you must change that value to =2 for better performance you can use Rom Toolbox from google play for free to do this.

I guess also should I start over and wipe the internal SD card and Cache and everything?

The setting has to be perfect-no extra spaces, periods, ect. I don't overclock here as the speed(kernel of #2) works for me.

When flashing the kernel wipe cache and then advanced/dalvik. Make a backup prior to so you can just restore it if something goes wrong. Saves time:)
 
OK now it is working. So my question now is can I delete some of the apps like ROM Toolbox, BusyBox Free, & Quick Boot. Also I am having trouble removing Latitude, it does not show in Titanium but the icon is there in the apps.

Yea you can. And To remove latitude, places, or the navigation app you need to remove Google maps
 
Ok I messed. WhenI set up originally. I did so with my gmail account. I then installed cwr and the ROM and kernel and everything was good. So I added my wifes account then tried to remove mine and it said I would have to do a factory reset, so I did, not thinking. Now the phone only reboots into cwr.... Help!

Download that, drag and drop the zip in the sd card flash and you should be out of cwr
 
Yes, put that file in the root of the as card(or where ever you prefer) then since its in recovery flash it from there and reboot device. Should take you out of it.
 
I got it out of recovery but how do I delete my gmail account which is primary and make my wifes the primary account. If I have to start over, thats fine.
 
You can go to recovery and select "wipe data/factory reset" and it'll start you over. I tried switching main accounts but couldn't because of some apps that are installed and tied to my email thats my main email on my phone
 
OK all that worked, thanks, but now I am facing an issue with SU. It says the binary is out of date and when i hit update the gaining root access fails. So Titanium backup wont work, so i cant uninstall the default browser. also i wont be able to use SETCPU
 
Omg I am so frustrated..... I tried to reload the kernap so I could overclock so I wpied the cache and Tue dalvik and rebooted and now it won't get passed the first LG screen. Then it just reboots... I can't even get into cwr. What now?
 
Ok I did a restore to the point prior to going a factory reset. Which works. But I have 2 more questions. One where is the apk files that I download from the market. 2 I have a custom wallpaper that is cuurently in use but is not saved on the SD, where would that be. Once I get these I will factory reset and start over with just the Rom.

Also if anyone has an ascend cm7, please pm me, I am having issues flashing it.
 
OK so I have done a facotry wipe, added the correct gmail account and reflashed the ROM, to #2, now what i would like to do is over clock, so I would have to flash the kernal... Correct? but when i tried this last and it reboots it just goes through a reboot cycle, i even wiped cahe and advanced dalvik cache. still same issue
 
Curently it is flashed with the Number Two (#2) v2.3.zip ROM and I am trying to root the Kernal to Plague-Extreme_2.2_signed.zip
 
Ok that worked, overclocked to 1804, but cant go higher, thats ok though. :D Thanks for all your help. Now I just need toget my Ascend going again:(.... Then wait for my new phone to arrive (Galaxy S Blaze) then root it and hange the kernel, too bad there are no ROMs for it yet.:mad:


One more question on this phone, the battery indicater, it seems as though it is using alot of battery, or at least showing it....However I have the extended battery so I am wondering if the indicator is based off the stock battery, is there a acurate battery measuring program you know of:confused:
