Root neewbie ?

Hello all. I'm new to this forum. I'm glad to be a part of this informative community. This is my first phone forum but i'm a member on lots of gun forums. I have a question, i recently aquirred a htc evo 4g, awesome phone by the way, anyway i was wondering if i needed a donor phone to flash my evo to boost?. If so i only have a galaxy prevail and didnt want to purchase another phone to do so. I have a guy locally that charges 65.00 dollars to flash it and he seems like a pro. would it be more cost effective plus easier to let him do it? thanks in advance

Just to let you know you are not being ignored.

On the other hand, i have no idea what the answer is to your question.

We have some folk in here that have done that sort of thing, maybe one will stop by and give you the info you need. in the meantime, we have some threads where they have put the procedure for doing it, have you seen them and do they look like something you want to get involved with?

normally we suggest a person learn how to do all and whatever to their own phones, as you may be the only one you have to depend on when it gets down to it. But, I can see the attractiveness of having something like that done if you have confidence in who you hired.
