Help Netflix on EVO 3d

there is a netflix app you download from the market but I am sure you all know that now.

Anyways you would think the movie industry would cut a deal for netflix to not ship discs anymore as they are easier to copy/pirate than streaming movies. It seems the movie industry is always going about things all wrong and are just as bad the music industry.

Good lord this app sucks. Why even bother releasing an app that doesn't auto rotate BOTH directions? So now landscape mode for movies is only shown with the charger port side down which is the worst possible side as either you charge it and rest it on the kink in the cord or you hold it and your finger is on the camera button.

I guess i'll be getting the modified one from the xda forums when it becomes available.. even though the names for the app are simply ******ed. I predict it will be named:

"NetFlixONERedSeaHDCodecAutoRotate 1.3232323245FS"

I'd blame HTC for that before Netflix. The port definitely should have been on the bottom. Horrible design flaw IMO. The ESPN Watch app & Sprint TV is the same way. I'm sure if enough people complain they'd update for a 270* rotation.

I downloaded the netflix app hoping to find some 3d movies. I wind up finding this Spartacus show and watched the first few minutes of episode 1. I could have sworn the fight scene was in 3d. There was depth and everything short of the swords coming out of the screen with the blood splattering. Nothing on the titles say 3d, I dont even pay for HD netflix and the movies definitely were upscaled to HD.

So heres my question:

Does the 3vo upscale regular movies into 3DHD to the best of its ability like the ps3 upscales dvds into HD to the best of its? Or has Netflix begun streaming in 3D automatically?

Thanks

Which spartacus? Blood and sand or gods of the arena? Both are shot similarly to 300 so the texture and depth are awesome. If you watch the dvd you will think the same thing. No 3d yet on netflix

the Netflix app for Android does upscale to HD, you should be able to see the HD icon on the bottom there.

there are NO 3D titles avail on Netflix at all.

I have my phone hooked up to an HDTV through the MHL adaptor. The videos I shot come out in HD, but Netflix movies look like crap. Does it not upscale to HD over HDMI?

PS - 3voMike... What do you mean " I dont even pay for HD netflix" ... To my knowledge, Netflix only has one level of streaming service and HD movies are included.

I too have noticed that thru my MHL adapter my videos are crappy quality, all of them, youtube ones on other sites you name it, its all grainy, and my pictures I would of ecpected to be batter quality when put up on the TV. My tv is DNLA, i dont know if that makes anything easier..I dont know anything about it.
So is this normal, is it some special button on the phone or something to get HD quality from my phone to my TV? I would like to figure the crappy resolution issue I'm having before I download netflix. Thanks and be easy i know nothing about computers, except where the porn is...

Thanks again.

Anyone know where I can snag the last version before this latest round of updates? I can no longer stream movies without it freezing.

I don't have a Nexflix account, but I was willing to give it a try on the basis that their app would make 3D content available for the 3DVO. Well, here we are 5 months later after it's release and nothing... I've been fortunate to come across quite a few 3D movies, so I'm not too worried at this point.

The end result was that I got rid of the app, since there's nothing they can offer me at this point. Too bad. :(

So... I am a bit miffed. The old version freezes as does the new. It didn't use to. So what's different now? Is anyone else having issues on their 3d?

I've been having the same problem for the last two versions. It plays fine for about 15 minutes, the the video freezes. The audio keeps playing normally.

I was able to isolate a definable symptom. Netflix won't freeze if I stream it using 3g, but if i turn WiFi on it will freeze around 17 minutes.
