i think.. all sprint employees and other carriers as well.. have full access to internal information and data.. that is 100% correct.

the problem is..
you can lead a horse to water, but you can not make it drink.
 
I also had an account manager tell me the same thing and maybe it's because I have been with them for 12 years and I was ready to cancel service but the manager basically told me LTE go live was 07/25/2012 for L.A.

I will just keep my fingers crossed.

Perhaps, but I find it unlikely that the average CSR (especially the low level/tier 1 reps on chat) would have documentation of LTE on-air dates for all of Sprints 38,000+ towers. But heck, who knows.. maybe you're right... I guess LA is a fairly early market, so they may have an idea.
 
In my area, we usually hover around 100 kbps for 3G. Yesterday, I got 1.2 Mbps. I thought that NV went online early and switched over to LTE...nothing. I've also not seen 1.2 Mbps since.

Only a couple more weeks to find out if wichita actually is included with the KC rollout. Not holding my breath, but it would sure be nice to get more than 150k downloads.
 
I live in the Baltimore area and was told this wouldn't roll out until August. I can't even get on rge internet unless I use 4g and I'm missing Calla. Anyone low any possible fixes until the work is done?

Well, the Kansas City rollout is supposed to be July 15th, and Wichita is supposed to be included. It looks like they weren't lying. Yesterday I averaged 125k download speeds. Today I am averaging over 500k on 3g. That is a good sign. Sure, it is still crappy speed, but more than triple what I WAS getting. If the 4g lte does get turned on, I will be picking up the Evo4gLTE right after. Keeping my fingers crossed

sounds like you are on the right track. Please report back and let us know how the 4g goes.
 
Anybody else seeing LTE 4 days early here in Kansas City? I updated my EVO 4G LTE. And updated my profile and LTE was there...anybody else seeing it?

By the way it's lighting fast did a couple of page loading and they instantly loaded ...
 
Got 4g lte in Wichita Kansas today at 6pm, east Kellogg near walmart. Speed / signal was fairly weak in two speed tests, 1200-1700 download, pathetic 150 upload.

But I'm excited. Noticed a small bug as it left lte signal area, jumped to 3g roaming and then Sprint native.

Well, since LTE is apparently live in Wichita, I guess I will be going to buy the Evo4gLTE Friday. 3g signal hasn't improved at my house, still only 1 or 2 bars, but my speed is still over 500k downloads. All in all, I have enough benefits to make it worth the update now. I am truly shocked that Wichita didn't get screwed over on LTE like we did with Wimax.

I've had it most of the day in OP and Lenexa. Noticed it at lunch (speedtest below) and streamed Pandora on the ride home. SO nice not to be crushed by buffering!

Decided to check just a second ago so I kicked off wifi and I've got LTE sitting in my family room (never had WiMax inside my house.) Looks like it's time to root!

My parents get ~20mbs dl with Verizon so I hope when this gets full on, we see some better speeds.
 
This resembles Sprint's EVDO rollout a bit too closely. What's worse, it resembles Sprint's WiMAX rollout too closely!

I've read stuff to the effect that "last time Sprint's WiMAX partner failed them. Today it's different, Sprint is doing it itself.....with three LTE partners." My question is what's so different? Aside from tripling the possibility of failure?

They talk about "Sprint towers", but in reality pretty much every PCS tower is owned and operated by a tower company, not their tenants.

Apparently "roaming will fill in all the gaping holes." To make that happen, Sprint will need to sell phones with a dozen or so bands, from 700MHz to 2.5GHz and every PCS and LTE band in-between. Good luck with making that work.

Finally, where is the money coming from? All the partners? Companies that are big enough to gobble up Sprint each alone?

Let's get real. Right now the competition has Sprint beat when it comes to LTE. How is Sprint going to retain customers while they bring their LTE in very late to the party and in a VERY limited area? I'll bet anybody here $10,000 that when I move back to the Chicago area that I'm not going to find any Sprint LTE outside the Chicago city limits for as long as I live there.

I like Sprint, and by some miracle I've always ended up living and working in areas with adequate Sprint coverage. But when it comes to data, Sprint has always been way behind the curve. Fortunately I'm satisfied with EVDO...for now.

I fear that this yet another Sprint grand plan will receive the tepid response it deserves, and further weaken the company. Possibly into oblivion.
