Rooted my phone and this rom was the first thing I installed. 4G is broken, this sucks.
Did you flash the new radios?
Yeah, didn't help. I'll toggle the 4G icon and after a while it toggles on but it never says 4G anymore. Just continues with the 3G, and the speeds don't increase so it's still 3G.

Which method did you use to flash the radios?

that method. This is still all new to me, kind of confusing.

also the hard button lights are working today. no idea why they werent working last night while sitting in a pitch black room. I was hitting kept hitting menu and <-- buttons incorrectly lol but its working today for some reason.

Why don't you just use the unrevoked 1 then? And you cannot really brick your phone flashing a radio that is made for it. You flash a radio from another phone, now you have problems.
Those of you with 4g issues.. are you stuck scanning? If so, the fix is in the first few pages of the thread over at xda. You have to delete the tree.xml.

The fix with deleting tree.xml doesn't work for a number of people, it certainly didn't work for me.
I was able to get my 4G back by re-flashing with 1.19 RUU (see this thread on XDA forums). Then flashing 1.0.1 Fresh. No radios need to be re-installed after applying the latest RUU.

I came from a 5 year old LG phone to an EVO. I never did anything like this before and i rooted my phone two weeks ago and flashed 5.3. Yesterday I did everything from scratch, flashed 1.0.1,flashed radio and wixmax and flashed a kernal for a fps fix. If I can do it, you can do it
.It really is simple. You could do it in a day if you put some time aside. A day meaning reading up on stuff. You could do all the flashing in less than an hour.

Ok noob here i just rooted using the unrevoked3. Will that allow me to flash the new rom. If not can someone please help or guide me in the right direction. I have to new update 1.47******.....thanks in advance.

It's working for me. I just flashed this ROM today. Still need to test my Wimax tomorrow when I go to work. Signal at my house is not great so I don't usually get it anyway. I have the radio on my SD card in case I need to flash it either way.
Once I worked through some kinks in Simpleroot I was good to go. I managed to go a whole month and then some without hacking and flashing. Now rocking Fresh 1.0.1 with FPS patch and I will probably flash CM6 if it comes out tonight
well theres some other programs i like that need root as well
i wanted 1.47 because i heard of battery benefits, but unrevoked 1 doesnt work for 1.47 (only prior)
at any rate, i took the time to do simple root, adn then the 1.47 back to square 1 thing, so now i am fully rooted!!
Ive heard nothing but great things about fresh, so now im tempted to flash this rom, but I already have the 1.47 radio/wifi/wimax stuff. If it put this fresh 1.0.1 on here, i STILL have to flash the newest radio and wifi/wimaxx back too?
I did the Fresh update and I show having the newest radio. 1.47. I used rom manager and did it all from the phone. Worked great and easy.

so if you please can you tell me how to use rom manager? i just downloaded it. just select fresh rom and install thats it? does this wipe everything when you flash?
Yes, Im no expert but here is what I did. Click FlashClockword mod recovery. Its at the top. click download rom. select fresh, it will start downloading. After it is done downloading it will give you the option to wipe and back up. (it does this after the download. Then just wait about 10-15 min. I selected wipe and back up and then just reinstalled everything from Appbrains back up.

my screen every soften has a slight blink to it it's only just noticeable and only seems to show when on a mostly white screen. anyone know what that might be?
