Root new kernels

I do have a question about this Color fix thing.
Is there an issue with the fascinate for which a color fix is being flashed (like the "lag problem" for which lagfix exist).
Or does the color/brightness become a problem when you root and apply the voodo lagfix?

can't seem to figure out the issue with this.

Welcome brother;)
The color fix for us/SF right now only fixes the blue tint issues at 100% max brightness. Most of us dont use that setting so far now its moot.

You using the LV or the SV. LV should net you a gain in battery life and SV should be about the space. Unless you're using jt's 1200. His is overvolted and might cost you a tad in battery life but nothing massive

weird.. maybe it's only me then.. but my phone eats battery like a bear eating honey with this kernel. i love the notifications though, so i live with the not so great battery life
 
*bump*

i'm having more battery issues, my phone will charge overnight and only have a 96 or 97% charge.. any ideas why?

thats just a quirky samsung thing. when the phone charges to 100% it will stop receiving a charge until you go back down to either 95 or 95% then recharge.

not sure why they did, save power or batter life dont know :eek:

which kernel? i think test20 was the one with the issue and jts new kernels (both voodoo and not) adapt bln into them as kind of a mashup of his and birdmans kernels and wifi works fine apparently. both are non-oc though

birdman's first kernel? the one with the backlight notifications. Jt's new kernels, do they have the backlight notification?

yeah test20 was birdmans first released kernel. jts new kernels i do believe have bln notifications (havent tried them myself) but people are reporting they work
 
Yeah jt's 2 new ones do have BLN and he's posting them only on IRC because to paraphrase too many people are borking their SF's

You know me :rolleyes: I DL'd it and its sitting on my sdcard. So no no installation yet. I never logged off irc last night so Im scanning thru 15 hours of posts there reading the user reviews on it. It seems any enhancement I gain thru optimization will be given back by the 20% speed reduction. WiFi is not an issue. I'd love to see jt put this back out at 1200

yeah i needs me some oc :eek:! wicked beav seems to have gotten the hang of compiling lately and mentioned he might recompile jts to include oc later on....now that id check out.

Yeah there's this thing out there now everyone says I should try, gosh whats it called, oh yeah patience.
Seriously though I havent flashed a thing for days and days. So even with new kernels and new bootzips Im just in a holding pattern right now

yeah ive been on 1200sv do2 for a few days without changing, if theres an oc jt tonight i may jump in and through caution to the wind as usual :eek:

i change bootanis a lot, and im mildly proud of myself for ripping some out of the roms from my inc, even though its easy...i hadnt thought of it previously.

Hmmm, yeah thats an important reminder. Even if nothing comes out on day X it does not mean these guys are still working away on stuff. I'd love to image birdman will give us the good stuff and/or jt gets us 1.2 with his new stuff. Birdman has not done anything yet OC wise so that's still out there too.

And a slightly related note, Im beginning to really believe in this Bionix/whiskey/manhattan project stuff. As expected the device runs hotter I've seen guys claiming to be 111
