I backed up my apps and data with MyBackup, so all I need to do is take out my SD card and run this file with my Computer hooked up to my phone? I have the latest HTC sync installed but never used it for anything.

did u just try and root it and get blocked? i dont care about rooting if everything else works. and thanks for the updates

since the official release is so near...people may not bother with this (though this could be the same as the official one.
the last leak works fine for me, (though i only had 98mb free afterwards vs. the 138 a user above reported), so i would rather not spend time re-doing stuff...

well it might be a good thing this was leaked, since some people can start to try to find a way to root it, and when the final release gets here we would have root access again

I'm betting that a factory reset will reset it to the 2.1. I think this wipes everything from the phone. The 1.5 backup will be gone, if I am correct.

Someone else over at XDA also ran the new 2.1 RUU and could not root afterwords. So.....be careful .

YOU WILL LOSE ROOT ACCESS IF YOU RUN THIS NEW 2.1 RUU.
