Hmmm, this makes me remember that for some reason when I try and change the boot animation on my phone it ends up that I just don't have a boot animation. Not sure why. I copied the bootanimation.zip to system/media replacing the zip that was already there, but when I reboot my phone....no boot animation. I put the original one back and still no boot animation.

Any ideas why?

no idea what would cause that but you can put it in data\local and it should work

I'm actually fond of the stock ICS boot animation, even if I rarely see it for very long. I guess if we get stuck with this I'll have to switch it out. I like CyanogenMod, and I'll tell people I run it, but I don't need to be reminded of it every time I boot.

did you try clearing your cache in cwm and maybe try a fix permissions other then that Idk cause it should work both ways

It's cool if you like it, but don't think that it's "stock ICS" boot animation. It's a second-rate, low resolution (360 x 640) rip from the galaxy nexus. I like it too, but I wish we could find a full res copy of it.

I've been trying, but the best I've been able to find was a copy someone resized from the same little one.
Surely that's not the resolution supplied as original on the Nexus??

well thats what they were wanting they noticed the blurryness of the animation at boot (due to resolution i believe) so i was gonna get them the real deal ripped straight from nexus firmware file
