Root New ROM

Well I've been thinking it's about time for a new set up on my incredible. I currently am currently running skyRaider 2.5.2 Vanilla, Kings #3 kernel, and radio 2.05. Any suggestions to whats good out there? I here a lot of good things about MIUI, and CyogenMod.

Also, I shouldn't have to update the radio right? Just do backups on nandroid and titanium, wipe, then flash the new ROM.

I've been running with Lou's latest - Redemption 2.2
extremely stable - amazing battery life - tv out is fantastic also

T.V out on the incredible? I don't understand how software could enable that capability....I mean, how do you connect?

It looks like I'm going with MIUI, though does it work with setCPU? or does the kernel handle clock speed on it's own?

MIUI's kernel and battery life have been great, no need to use SetCPU. One note though, TV-out doesn't work on MIUI or other AOSP roms.

Well today was an adventure. First I went with MIUI, didn't like the look, or feel so then I checked out CM6. It was great until I couldn't get Backup Assistant working, so I restored back to SR, and used myBackup this time. BUT, in the mean time I found out that I actually didn't install the newest CM6. So I downloaded the newest version (6.1 RC2). I immediately downloaded the Google app pack from ROM manager because i needed the market. That's when things got worse. Google app framework kept force closing. It didn't affect performance but it happened quite often, and became annoying very quickly. Did another wipe, tried it again. same problem. So then I decided I'd try that again later because that's what I'd prefer to use. ANYWAYS, I'm waiting for Virtious 3.1 to install, and figure I'd submit this to see if any had a solution to the CM6 problem.

I personally ROM stock Nov OTA deodexed and do my own mod plus those of others. like the new powerbar mod in the noti bar.kick ass llboredll is the MAN

never had any problems with force closes on cm6.
maybe try downloading the google apps from somewhere else?
also i wouldn't rely on backup assistant...

Myn's Warm 2.2 with stock font mod. I haven't tried the newest version but on the previous build I'm getting better battery life than 2.1 could have ever dreamed of. Never a glitch of any kind either.
