hehe its ok, is there anyway to root the phone on 2.2 without using the androot app or connecting to computer using adb? i can't even reboot into recovery through bootstrap cause of no root so i can't restore back to flyx

All 2.2 themes will work fine on it.

my guess is he's going to port more themes for the DX or better yet make a theme rom like he did in the past

-go to contacts
-click menu button
-more
-import/export
-export contacts to sdcard
-click confirm
-will save in vcf format to the root of your sdcard
-if for some reason google ever looses your contacts (which has happened to me) just repeat this except select import contacts from sdcard and there ya go

Well, he's added some AOSP apps, as well as the MMS app from Cyanogen. Also, I think the Gmail included is a newer version.

So while all 2.2 themes work fine, they are using older versions of the apps/do not theme the stock 2.2 apps that are included in Tranquility.



That being said, I got hella distracted last night and didn't do anything :p
 
Im NEW TO ALL THIS...

mine is all stock! Which means no leaked 2.2, or this...

Question: which is better 2.2, or Tranquility? What's the difference?

I've heard the update coming for DX Froyo 2.2. Is Tranquility even newer than Froyo 2.2?

Right.....I guess ....
I already look at tranquility as a theme, since its not a rom, so that's not really what I meant .....
But goodluck on ur themes...
I stick to Bigs serenity themes or Galaxy s....

Its not really a ROM or a Theme...
Its more of a system deblur app replacement zip....lol...
A ROM traditionally is a stand alone new reworked OS..and a theme graphics changes ...
And this is not an OS :
P3Droid To anyone using tranq and stuck at m you can NOT wipe system this is not a full os!!!

It is cool though ...its a great way to remove apps and system apks and others stuff without having to do it manually.
 
Yeah, there's really nothing Tranquility does that you can't manually do yourself, it's just a nice, convenient way to get it all done in one process.

That being said, I feel like it is a good step in progress until true ROMs are introduced to the X.

Very much so....its kinda like removing most of HTC Sense from an HTC device.
Yeah hopefully things get better ...but they wont until we get through that locked bootloader and can get some custom kernels through ....hopefully there are devs out there working in it.
 
has anyone been able to root this one? i installed this update and lost root, i tried doing the d2 root but it hasn't worked yet....im still trying lol
 
Downloaded put over fly x not good idea cause now nothing is working right. The problem is I can't reboot into recover. Anyone know what to do? Its force closing gmail constantly. Force closing messenger! !!! Aaaahhhh

Im having the same problem!!! Wont allow me to restore/reboot, cant use rom manager, tried to reboot to old rom and it just does nothing......WTF?!?!?!

When i get to recovery screen i get this error... E:cant open /cache/recovery/command
