Root new user need help

Hey I'm a new user that just flashed to Cricket & I needed help on which best ROM to root.

2.3.3 version, Baseband 2.15.00.0808, Kernel 2.6.35 10g13518ee. HTC kernel @ and 18-2 #1
Build 4.54.651.1 CL134969


ROM manager keeps getting error message

I know nothing of this cricket xcept i'm a frog and well dinner comes to mind

As Far as the best ROM that will be a matter of preference. I would Recommend Tommy Tomatoes Classic in the Sense ROMS Also there is MiKG

Last but not least is ROM Manager. GET RID OF IT. ITS VERY BUGGY. We have had to fix so many problems from users using ROM Manager. I would also Recommend that you switch to Amon RA recovery. Much Better than Clock work mod

Get rid of rom manager and switch to amon ra recovery, get used to doing everything in recovery and you will end up being a much more knowledgeable phone owner.

Try MikG3.0 with one of the freedom kernels... A crowd favorite and always a great place to start!

you can not root your phone with amon ra. it is a recovery. the only way to root your phone is by running revolutionary which is done on your computer. please read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html.
