Root NexTheme 10% Circle Battery Mod

I installed the Blue NexTheme and then the blue circle battery and it looks good. One thing to note is that if you're applying the Blue NexTheme to ApeX, you need to remove gmail.apk from the theme before you apply it.

Edit: Looks like I lost most of the blue theme. :(

Still working well this morning, I like it.

Does the blue stay blue like the white, or does the blue change colors as the battery depletes?

NexTheme is a more colorful theme so I've got a question...
I really like the color change as the battery goes down...Blue > Green > Yellow > Orange > Red, or something like that. How hard would modifying to do this be?

Very, very easy. Just get the icons and replace the ones in the apk. Use 7zip or winzip to replace the files.

OK, downloaded the white apk, opened archive with 7zip, and swapped out battery images 1 to 1, without adding extra. I'm not sure what I need to do now to get it on the phone.

Download the zip file, replace the apk (again with 7zip), then flash with clockwork recovery.

Thanks Again!!!:D

i cannot, for the life of me, figure out why i keep bootlooping when i modify the battery icons. currently running apexV1.0, nextheme. i downloaded the green zip (OP), unzipped, renamed framework-res.apk to a zip, replaced ONLY the battery icons, then rezipped the framework folders and converted back to an apk. inserted this apk back into the original folder that was UNzipped, RE-zipped it, put on sd-card, clockwork recovered, apply zip from sdcard, and bootloop all day.

^ File sent as requested.

How I did it...
-downloaded the white battery framework-res.apk from post 1
-with 7zip, I opened archive
-swapped out battery images 1 to 1 keeping the file names the exact same and not adding extra.
-closed and remamed the modified file "framework-res.apk"
-downloaded the white MOD-W.zip file from post 1
-with 7zip, found and replaced "framework-res.apk" in the zip file with the one I just modified
-gmailed it to myself to get it on the SD Card for the phone.
-downloaded via gmail
-went into Rom Manager and flashed with clockwork recovery.

You WILL bootloop when you unzip the framework-res.apk. You're NOT supposed to do that. Open the apk with 7zip and replace the files via drag and drop.

alright, i got it. now i can't find the gmail, google voice, email notification icons. they're not listed in the same folder as everything else. where are they?

Can we get the "color change" version that mxsjw did posted up somewhere? It looks really nice.

yawdapaah, if you want to shoot me a PM, I'll email it to you so it can be added to the OP if you choose. That way I'm not flooded.:D

Edit...Thanks for adding the multi-colored version in the Original Post :D

You can make your own; I made my own similar to mxsjw's. It's not difficult using yawdapaah's guide, but it's a little time consuming.

Looks great! Lots of thanks go out to yawdapaah for doing the grunt work and to mxsjw for the smoking hot icons.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the gmail.apk from the theme? My gmail is acting strange. I receive my mail, but it stills shows I have unread messages. I have to go to the web gmail to mark them as read.

Okay, dumb question....I'm rooted 2.2. 928 Black Glass with REVOlution theme on top...how do I get the circle battery? Or do I have to ROM up 1st? THANKS!

Thanks very much for all the work you did with this and the write up on how to mod the actual colors etc. You all are great with how detailed you are on your instructions and the amount of support you give to newbs like me.

My screens are a little all over the place, trying to come up with something but got the color changed on the battery. Woot!

Thanks mxsjw for letting me bug ya :)

Home and lock screen, I know a lot of people don't like the blues but I keep going back to black and blue :)
