Nexus 5 Pre-Release/Speculation Thread

At the start, he said the main focus would be photos, and they're already pretty much at the end of the checklist on the photos section. Would they really organize this event for a 20 minute Google+ talk? Seems like a waste.

It's grasping at straws, but I'm holding out hope for something bigger.

Not saying they can't surprise us, but if they were to launch the Nexus 5, they would have invites so press consumers could get a hands on and what not. The fact they're stressing Google+ and hosted on YouTube/Google+ not likely.

I think Google is EXTREMELY smart doing this (making a lot of people think the Nexus 5 will make an appearance), they'll teach a lot of Android users about Google+ and hopefully get them to use it more, thus increasing revenue in the long run..

I'll say this. If I wasn't a power user and was just excited to see something new, and they keep jerking my chain around like this, I would be in line at the local Apple Store tomorrow.

Fortunately I'm not that easy to sway away from Android.

Hangouts SMS integration was something we knew was coming to kitkat.

In fact, there isn't even a messaging app anymore

It's too bad it's not coming to Verizon or else we would have had to add many of the only Gnex thread people like HanSolo to this, lol.

Wait, will I be able to disable the hangouts part of the app and use it just for sms?

Because I have hangouts disabled on all my devices because i dont particularly wanna speak to, or have people i email be able to private message over some chat system.
