How would you feel if you pay 100k/mth to rent a massive warehouse and a bigash corner of it is unusable because Nexus 5's have been sitting there for weeks simply because Google doesnt wanna release it yet.

That's literally just space being wasted; and you all know the saying, space is money.

Or was it, time is money? Well time and space are interwoven dimensions anyways, so it works ;)

These are big companies. They make a nice profit on all of LG/google products. They are not going to start complaining for a few weeks. What are they going to tell Google to bad? and then never sell another android/google device again. Biting the hand that feeds you :P

this is all in good fun mind you. i want this phone to be released almost as much as the next person

Just because itd take weeks doesnt mean they still wont like it. Some companies are much more quick to bite than others and some have full warehouses as it is... I know the feeling a lot; I used to work in a warehouse where we assembled RRU units for cell radio shelters. Every single skid in the warehouse made the job 100x harder as we really needed every shred of space, and if we had one skid over a certain amount in the warehouse, it meant moving one skid would mean moving four skids behind it into other positions where other skids were in and we'd have to move those into other positions and...

Now just make the grid about 100x100 and add random obstacles and you'll see how much of a pain in the ass it can be.

I'd complain if a whole corner of precious space was taken up for even a week.

When it comes to large scale projects, nothing is simple, nothing goes exactly as planned, and no one is more eager to begin selling their products than Google and their partners.

In this hyper competitive field, time to market is crucial. Google understands that very well.
 
I'm getting really anxious for this to release. It will be my first nexus and I've been waiting patiently for months.

Maybe they are trying to finish up the Google watch to release in tandem?

You don't need it currently. It makes one up for you in the process but you can use it only for this.

You'll just text the number, make up a username(random if you're never going to use it), and text the "ON n5stock"

You'll get a text message every time they tweet.

Well I decided to create a twitter account just for that. I hope I setup everything properly.
 
Today's Kit Kat tweet is a passport with the words KITKAT/ANDROID/GOOGLE on it... no clue if it means anything...

I'm hoping for an announcement tomorrow and being able to order the device Friday Nov 1st.

I'm just gonna go on and say that the leaks are the new of revealing a phone. It might be on sale already and we don't even know it. ha-ha.

It has to be sooooooooooooooooon, because the tipster mentioned it's for a "shop" they work for.

People are making speculation of today being the day because core Google apps are updated. Sounds silly to me. If anything they would be prepared for any update coming.
 
Unless it got delayed at the last second. With the app updates all showing 10/29 as well, makes me wonder.
