Yeah, in the end it is actually cheaper and better than getting him a DS or other handhelds with the added advantage of educational apps.Well, Pup, my son is in love with the Nexus as well. Unfortunately he doesn't have his own, yet.
That's me, a lot of folks call me that here. It is a part of my last name.Pup?

I should be able to put a Nexus 7 right in this spot. I just need to figure out how without using one of those fugly windowshield/dashboard suction cup holders. right now my only thought is styrofoam. That space is 9'' wide.
Interesting, you thinking vertical? Maybe install a couple of felt covered u-channels on the sides for the N7 to slide into.
I was hoping horizontal.
Thanks for the u-channel suggestion! It never crossed my mind.
I meant standing up in the horizontal orientation.
I could even use some 1/2" angle.Yep. That's it.
I work with metal everyday and never thought of it!I could even use some 1/2" angle.
I don't know the physical width of the device (mines at home). The trick would be having enough to hold it securely without it being to obtrusive.

Definitely. I do have to purchase a Nexus 7 first.![]()

I think DLNA or WiFi direct is the only way right now.
That's what I was thinking. So I would need to find screen capable of those technologies or find some way to convert if I wanted to output to a screen.
^ Didn't know that! Thanks! I'm trying to figure out a way to make the N7 the central component of a in car infotainment center. Really not much of a way I can test stuff out unless I have somethin DLNA enabled, and I'm not sure I do.
Your GNex?
way to make me look like an idiot, haha. Now, how does this dlna work? What do I need to do? way to make me look like an idiot, haha. Now, how does this dlna work? What do I need to do?
