Root no 3g and cant reprogram phone?

I'm new to this and I flashed my evo with decks infant clyde rom. Everything works just fine except for theres no 3g data.

When I try to connect to register my email it says it cant contact the server. Even when I'm using wifi. Also what are the programming codes? I've tried ##222077#, ##786#, and a few others I cant remember. None of them do anything. So is there any way to reprogram the phone now?

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!

are you flashed to a different network? if so which one? and deck's is an aosp rom so none of the epst # will work. you need to be on a sense rom to do that.
 
I'm on sprint and I just put in *228 and called, it brought up a screen saying it was activating the phone, but then the voice said it was a bad code.
 
all cyanogenmod roms are aosp. Try mikg, people have raved about it for quite some time and when i flashed it (i only ran it for like an hour, just couldnt stand the idea of being on a sense based rom) it seemed to be pretty legit. Like a windowless van parked outside a school :O

I thing CM9 is also AOSP.
You just need a sense rom to use the ## codes correct?

I am currently on the infant clyde rom. I was just thinking about flashing to CM9 cause I liked it. If I flash to a sense rom and fix the 3g it should still work if I flash back to a AOSP right? I really like the battery life this rom has given.

Theoretically yes, I have heard of it working fine.
There are some other codes you can enter in a sense rom but I cant remember them (##gpsclrx#--thats not complete) but something like that.
I also hear of people using this app to get a lock then saving that app/data via Titanium Backup then after rom flash, restore that app/data
I personally would try MikG 3.11..the full wipe version...it is sense based and know myself those codes work...:D

alright got MikG v3.11 downloaded. I'll give it a shot here in a little bit. Thanks for the help

so I finally got around to flashing a sense rom, SS ultra, and the ## programming codes go through, but still gives me error 67 for the data. The weird thing is 4g works fine though and im able to sync email acounts. what could be keeping me from using 3g but not 4g?

btw that gps app looks pretty cool

yes, I did do a prl update and I didn't see any bugs for the rom involving data.

Edit: didn't realize a profile update was different from prl. I did that now 3g works great. Thanks for all the help

I figured that was it. The profile update was the important one, but its always suggested to do the PRL update right before it.
