Okay, after doing plenty of research I have come to the conclusion that most of the warnings used with Voodoo were given before Voodoo5 because Voodoo5 seems extremely easy to use (I am still proceeding with a lot of caution after reading some of the stories of Voodoo trouble). Just to be sure before I get into this (if I get into this), I am going to write my interpretation of the process and if somebody could chime in and tell me if I am on the right track that would be great (and hopefully helpful to anybody else that might be attempting this):
1) Full Nandroid backup - reboot into recovery - wipe cache - flash voodoo5 kernel that I put on the root of my sdcard - wait until finished - then reboot and once again wait a long while.
......and that's it? That seems far too easy, but great, I am here.
2) Now, if I ever want to make a nandroid backup, I need to do disable lagfix by either
A) Using Root Explorer add a file into sdcard/Voodoo folder named disable_lagfix then reboot into recovery and make the backup. Then delete disable_lagfix file and reboot.
or
B) Boot into red recovery and select disable lagfix in the Voodoo menu. Then make the backup - then enable lagfix again
Then to get rid of voodoo, I need to disable the lagfix like the previous step, reboot, wipe cache, and then flash a nonvoodoo kernel.
Am I on track?
Questions: If I want to flash a theme or rom, I will need to disable lagfix then flash and then go back to menu and enable lagfix? And I do not need to disable to simply flash voodoo5 kernels over other ones - only wipe cache and flash?
Recovery I am assuming becomes red recovery. It is not something I need to specifically go into? And if I ever want to get rid of it after getting rid of Voodoo I will need to flash something like jt's 11/29 nonvoodoo kernel?
Thanks for any help. I know information is easily spelled out in places like here -

but I just want to be 100% sure I am reading and interpreting it correctly.
