Note 3 cases?

Here the 3 types of S View chipset design.

Spigen just simply copy counterfeit design.

In 4.4.2 KitKat ROM, only Original Samsung S View will functioning.

Phew I nearly bought the Spigen Slim Armor View case after seeing it on here, glad I got the genuine S View cover now but I would be miffed if I had bought the spigen and found this out after.

It already looks dirty.

I noticed that the color from my jeans was rubbing off on it, that's what I get for going cheap on my case. The white is already fading off :(
I went to Bestbuy today and only saw one case made by Belkin, my phone does not feel bulky at all with it on.

that looks like it does not protect the top and bottom.. right?

I had a similar case for my S3... glass shattered.. from a minor fall.
landed on the on protected edge.

Yes, it does not.. Hard finding a nice case for a decent price. I'm sure I will be purchasing another one.

Mine looks very similar, covers more of the phone (top mostly protected, bottom mostly covered except for face portion of chrome), except no color issues and only cost me 1.50 throgh sunsky.

I can finally buy some new cases so I started out with this one Amazon.com: Fintie Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Guardian Series Case Dual Layer Holster with Kickstand and Belt Swivel Clip for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 III N9000 - Black: Office Products which I saw recommended in this thread http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3/809757-your-n3-still-unscathed.html.

I went with the Blue on Blue color scheme. It came in an easy to open plastic bag with no branding on it. The colors in real life re not as vivid as shown on the Amazon web site. I've always wondered how they manage that? Something to do with lighting I suppose. Anyway like the iBlason this case fits well with all the ports available for use. One thing that sets the Fintie case apart is that there are covers on the Power USB port and the headphone jack. Other than that these two cases are virtually identical but not inter-changeable as I had hoped when purchasing it. So far so good. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

color change from online to real life...

i guess it is due to 2 things:
filters on the lens of camera
monitor that you are using

Received my Otterbox Defender today, it's not as bulky as I thought it would be, actually a few millimeters thinner than the Defender was on my iPhone.
I purchased an OtterBox Defender @ the local USC store for my Note3 when I purchased the phone in DEC. I have been nothing but impressed with it. It is not nearly as bulky as I thought it would be when compared with the Ballistic cover/ holster that they stocked. The screen protector that is a part of it fits snug to the device's glass - not so with the Defender for the S4 hubby has. My Note3 has taken multiple drops onto stone, tile & concrete w/ nary a scratch to the case. The belt clip/ kick stand is SOLID. The only drawback, IMHO, is that I have great difficulty removing the inner 2 piece of the case if I would want to remove the SD card or battery. However, as the Note3 rocks a USB 3.0 cable & I have yet to have reason to remove the battery, it's pretty much a non-issue.

That's a lot of wear and tear with removing the case so many times ....

Have we found a case yet that is thin, protects top and bottom chrome as well as sides and back, and MOST IMPORTANTLY has a kickstand that works well in both landscape and portrait orientation?

you should check out the "finitie" case from amazon.. cheap and works great

Depends on your definition of thin.

I bought this case a while back. Wasn't as thin as my current case, but definitely covered sides, top, and bottom:

I didn't like the overall feel of the case, but might give it another try at some point. For the price, it was worth a shot and definitely the thinnest case I've seen that incorporates a kickstand.

I just picked this up, also, just for those long days where I know I'm going to be taking lots of pictures and won't be near a charger (e.g. at a sporting event, or amusement park...this type of case saved me when I had the Note 2).

There are a bunch of different versions of this, but I elected for this one because of the access it gives you to the S-pen. All the other options block the S-pen, but this one has an attachment that connects to the s-pen and allows you to remove it, whenever you need it.

OMG!!! Samsung S View chipset is USELESS !!!

I seen below person post and I try out and the S View is completely working without the need of the chipset !!!!!!!!!!!!

The S View feature can be activated with a magnet attached S View cover, chipset is not required. I confirm the patch never switch to Proximity sensor detection as it won't function by only cover up the proximity sensor part.

Its Brilliant, every cover works now, even cover without chip. i had couple of really nice covers but they didnt have chip thats why they werent working on 4.3, now with this they are working as well. actually sview is faster with this, maybe its because it is only checking that cover is closed, nothing else.
