Note 3 in hand soon...questions need answered?

Would anyone know how I could get into beta testing phones before they're out? I'm extremely interested in beta testing programs and devices. :D

Yep, if true, its disappointing for me. I'll have to wait on the LTE version of the Xperia Z Ultra or see what the HTC One Max looks like.

There are already leaked rendors, but I don't believe those are confirmed...yet. I'd be surprised if the One Max looked anything different from the rendors.

Eek...if this leaked pic is truly it, then I might end up passing on the device. Just seems like too much wasted space and the device is taller, yet the screen only has a slight jump up:

New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs rumored

If they went with 5.68 inch screen, only way I start consideirng it is if the overall form factor is the same dimensions as the Note 2 (or smaller, if possible). Otherwise, I'll just keep enjoying my Note 2 until the flexible screen versions of the Note are on the market, whether that be 1 or 2 years down the line.

I don't think that pic is the real thing. doesn't look legit. They must have gone out of mind if note 3 is that huge with just slightly bigger screen.

Why do so many sites keep recirculating that (DrEx link above) old pic? This pic was the first one out when the Note 3 rumors began. Now they're using the same one again but changing the "rumored" size.

I'll just wait it out like the rest of you but honestly, 5.6" from 5.5" is not worth full price which is the route I'd have to go.

People seem to think it's the Galaxy Mega, in that pic. Only way I truly consider the Note 3, is if the rumor on Sammobile is accurate that the Note 3 dimensions will be exactly the same (or smaller) as the Note 2. And for me, that would just be the starting point. The other "x" factors for me truly considering an out of pocket purchase:

- 32gb (minimum) or 64gb internal storage offered (w/ microSD slot)

All the other rumored specs are just upgrades, which are cool, but the internal storage was always an important factor for me, that didn't end up coming to fruition for the Sprint Note 2.

Kind of disapointed at the screen size if these rumors are true. I was hoping for at least 6 inch screen. Regardless, this phone will be a beast anyway.

Thanks guys.

So far I have not heard a word. I am thinking they have this pretty much locked down till the 4th

Doesn't mean I won't stop trying tho

No worries! You've given us so much good info in the past.

Even after the 9/4 event, there are some questions that I'd like confirmed for the US variants:

- Will all 3 internal storage forms 16, 32, & 64 be offered for all US providers? If not, which ones and will there be any carrier exclusives for internal storage versions (ala GS4)
- Any timetable for US release (since there's usually a delay behind Euro release)?

So if the picture posted in the phandroid home page article...

New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs rumored

is actually the Note 3 vs the note 2, it looks like they made slightly worse use of space than on the Note 2. As such, the phone looks considerably larger despite only having a .13 or .18 inch larger screen. I was hoping for a 6 inch screen, but would have been happy with 5.68 if the size remained close to identical with the note 2.

Can anyone confirm that the picture is the note 3 vs the note 2? If so, it kinda sucks a little. If I'm getting a noticeably larger phone than the note 2, I would like at least 6 inches. I still may get it, but it's a bit of a let down.

Read the comments at the bottom of that thread. It was already mentioned that the picture is mis-leading because it's not the Note 3.

Some people might be really disappointed.

Not me. 5.6x is plenty big for a phone. But then, since my Gnex drowned, I have been carrying a OG (3.5" screen) and a Tab 7.7 (7.7" screen) - Droid for calls, Tab for everything else. I will be happy to be able to go back down on one device. :)

I agree. 5.55 right now is just about right and the overall form factor is just at my limit. I'm more eager about the future flexible phone displays and if they can actually make a production model like their videos earlier this year.

Someone did a mathematical breakdown of the size screen that would be possible, if they had a fold out format to go from phone to tablet, but can't remember who posted it and in what thread.

Another Exclusive: List of Countries receiving the Note 3 Exynos or Snapdragon.

As for Mr. Ed getting his hands on the device possibly after the Sept 4th unveiling, I am ok with that, since Sprint has a habit of delivering devices that are a slight bit different than other carriers, so maybe Mr. Ed will get the official Sprint version and tell us what exactly we get. :D

oh and feel better Mr. Ed.

Why is AT&T only mentioned for the US?

I'm holding out hope that the rumor about different carriers getting different versions and T-Mobile will get a 6" screen is true. Maybe the SM-9006 with LTE-A? Tmo will be rolling out some LTE-A before years end they say.
